The property is made up of two houses. La Source being the main house sleeps 10 -13 in 5 bedrooms and other building, La Petite Source, has been recently converted to provide a further 2 bedrooms, sleeping 4-6.

La Source is a beautiful old converted stone farmhouse with heavenly uninterrupted views over the Luberon hills. Both houses have been renovated to a very high standard and are well furnished and equipped. They are set in 2 acres of totally secluded grounds with a stunning large swimming pool (12m x 8m), a tennis court and beautiful quiet lawned terraces with shady trees.

A huge terrace (used to be a restaurant terrace) has one of the best views in the Luberon and is perfect for slow Provençal meals. It is a perfect retreat for a few families to unwind, enjoy the house and its facilities and explore this exquisite part of Provence surrounded by lavender fields.

The village of St Martin de Castillon is 8 mins walk (bar and grocery shop); Viens (7min drive) or the market town of Apt (13 min drive).

About the location

• The Luberon is a stunning area for walking/cycling/riding…and exploring
• The Luberon Hills run East to West through the region, which is halfway between the Alps & the Mediterranean.
• There are endless Luberon villages to visit such as Menerbes, Viens, Bonnieux, Gordes, Isle sur Sorgue, Avignon (40 mins) Aix en Provence (1hr). Virtually every day there’s a market in one of the surrounding villages.
• Great selection of Restaurants in the area – from farmhouse to top Michelin
• Golf  - championship course 30mins away
• Bike hire can be arranged
• Horse riding - 3 stables 15mins from house: from 1hr to 2 day rides.
• Climbing, Fishing, Balooning, Caving … can all be arranged in the area
• For a day on the sea, Cassis is 90 mins away – beach/port + boat trips around the Calanques. Boats/yachts can be rented in Bagnol/Marseilles
• There is a bar in the village of St Martin (8 mins walk away). Bread sold there twice a week – or every day at Viens (7 mins drive).

It is easy to reach: 75 mins from Marseilles airport (3 BA flights per day); 40 mins from Avignon (TGV/Motorail) and 30 mins from the main Autoroute du Soleil.
