This large south facing farmhouse, situated just outside the charming village of Chives, set back off the road, down a small lane, totally private and secluded set in its own grounds with surrounding farmland.

This tranquil setting is the perfect ambiance for a relaxing, stress free holiday and paradise for children, whether swimming in the pool or going for a bike ride up the lane to neighbouring countryside in safe surroundings.

The house has been lovingly restored to retain its natural and traditional French charm.

Ground Floor

• Kitchen - large traditional farmhouse kitchen well equipped with american fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave etc. Dining table and chairs for 10.
• Lounge - large relaxing room (television and C.D. player) comfortable suite
• Bar room - for your leisure 

First Floor

From the mezzanine floor overlooking bar area, leads to:

• Master bedroom - with luxury en- suite bathroom/WC. Comprises of double bed and two singles, wardrobes etc.
• Bedroom two - good size with double bed and exposed beams, hanging space, chest of draws, bedside lamps etc. + 1 single bed
• Bedroom three - pretty cottage style, 3 single beds, exposed beams, wardrobe,chest of draws, lamps etc.
• A shower/toilet room

The Gardens

The kitchen door leads to a south facing open aspect garden. Comfortable sun loungers supplied to relax by the pool and sip long cool drinks in the day.

Ample outside dining facilities for those long warm balmy evenings whilst enjoying a barbecue al Fresco, together with a full flavoured bottle of Bordeaux or two.

The garden surrounds all sides of the property with the entrance being mainly fruit trees.

The Swimming Pool is Oval shape measuring approx 7.5 m x 4.0 m

About Villiers Couture in Charente-Maritime, Poitou Charentes

The local shop in Chives has a vast selection of everyday needs from french bread, local cheeses, fresh fruit and vegetables, meats and of course a good selection of wines, spirits and beers. There are two bars in the next village, Doctors Surgery and Pharmacy, a choice of good restaurants not too far away.

The market town of Chef Boutonne is just 15 min away with two big supermarkets, with a weekly saturday morning market, bars and restaurants.

How To Get To Villiers Couture in Charente-Maritime, South West France

From Poitiers follow signs to Angouleme on N10 and come off at Ruffec.

At Ruffec follow signs to Villefagnan and then to Longre.

At Longre turn right and then at less than 500 mts,turn left to

Couture D' Argenson and when you arrive at Couture,carry straight

on and at about 2 miles you curve round a slight right hand bend

and the road starts going down the hill and on the right at that

bend you will see a few houses laid back and just as you start

to go down the hill,there is a track to the left and the right.

Take the track to the right and we are just down there.
