Château de Labessière is a small Château of charm and character in the Lorraine region in the department of Meuse between Champagne and Alsace. Located in a small village of 591 people it is the nearest Bed and Breakfast to Verdun and the famous battlefields of World War One. There are only a few rooms and all are furnished with antiques. There is a private swimming pool outside and covered parking is available. Reservations are available only with dinners which are taken in the lovely Louis XVI dining room.
The owner can provide a wealth of information about the region. Argonne Forest, Beer Museum, World centre of peace, Underground Citadel, Ossuary, Memorial Museum, Fortress Douaumont and Vaux / Vauquois (Underground War) and Lake Madine to name but a few.........
Château de Labessière is the best Bed and Breakfast in the region. Dinners are served with good wines. My wife Marie-José and our help for 11 years, Laurence are the Chefs, (I'm only the owner and servant!). After dinner coffee and Brandy in the Salon Louis XV.
Special "all inclusive pack" on request. Try it and enjoy it. Everybody is welcome as friends.
Château de Labessière is a happy stay for happy people, and the best way to discover the Meuse region and meet other people.
We can send you a big book about Verdun and the battlefields on request (in English text with lots of photographs).
NOTE: The price includes dinner and drinks / evening and breakfast.
This is a suite consisting of 2 double bedrooms with private bathroom facilities.
The Meuse is mysterious and resonant with reminders of days long gone, full of zin and zest and steeped in history, a happy, delightful place brimming with youth and beauty. Yet it is all this and more with the serenity of its dense forests, and the poetry of its tranquil waterways wending their way through an eventful history full of heroism and enchantment.
Come - discover the Meuse and enjoy the gourmet delights of our country.

From Paris take the A4 to Verdun Vois Sacrée (exit 30). Follow the signs in the direction of Bar le Duc and Lemmes. After Lemmes turn left towards Senoncourt and Ancemont. In Ancemont the Château is on the left side in the village.
