This attractive collection of gîtes is situated in the small country hamlet of St Simon De Pellouaille only 2 km from the local village of Tesson, 15km from the Roman city of Saintes, and 20 km from the stylish coastal resort of Royan.

The gîtes are arranged around the owners Charentaise barn conversion and have been tastefully restored from adjoining barns and workers cottages. Each gite has it's own individual character and all have been renovated to a high standard, retaining original fireplaces, wooden beams and stonewalls where possible. They are all comfortably furnished with a blend of traditional and contemporary furniture, cool tiled floors at ground level and parquet floors in the bedrooms.

We are well situated being only 10 minutes from junction 36 of the autoroute. The atlantic beaches of Meschers and St George De Didonne are 25 minutes away along with Cognac and Pons.

We have a very relaxed approach with our guests and will endeavour to provide you with a warm welcome and good company during your stay in the Charente-Maritime.

Water has been restored from a maison ancienne/workers cottage and has two floors serviced by two separate staircases. On the ground floor is an open plan living/dining area featuring two original Charentaise fireplaces, fully fitted kitchen, shower room with shower wc and washbasin. The first staircase leads to two interconnected bedrooms with one double and twin beds. The other staircase leads to a double room.

About the location

• Tesson : is only 2 minutes in the car or (for the energetic) 10 minutes by bike where you will find a post office, boulangerie, restaurant, local grocery store, pharmacy and boucherie.
• Mortagne : Our local harbour has a busy marina with variety of bars and restaurants.
• Gemozac: 5' you have hypermarket
• Meschers: 25' the beach
• Cognac: 40' tasting and cellar visits
• Royan: 30'
• Rochefort: 30' la corderie royale
