Charming Villa with Pool in the Hills

Ideal for a family of four with small children (babies or toddlers).

Set in private grounds, stunning hillside villa on the edge of a natural pine and oak forest. It has a shaded terrace overlooking a large, fully tiled and floodlit pool that can be surrounded by a child proof fence (as per French regulations for pool protection). The Boule ground in the garden is a very popular attraction for guests. Solliès Ville is a medieval village situated only twelve miles from the beautiful beaches of Hyères, La Londe les Maures and Carqueirane.

Solliès Ville offers several  restaurants with terraces, and two bread shops. A wide range of shopping facilities including a main  food supermarket  is available at La Farlède, 4 miles from the house

Mark, August 2003. There are no negative points about your home, it was a delight to stay there. The location is lovely and quiet, private and secluded, but still close enough to the main roads to make exploring the area easy. The accommodation is excellent and very well equipped. We would definitely recommend it to anyone. And if you are going to install a table tennis table and boules, what more could anyone want? The pool was the cleanest we have had in all the years we have visited France and the warmest. We enjoyed the surroundings so much that we only went out for 1 day in the first week!

Katrina and Chris: August 2004. Our first visit to France has been a truly wonderful experience. Secluded, peaceful and in beautiful surroundings, Sécotine has offered us the chance to feel at home in France. We've been able to do many things here that were for us so pleasurable, walking in the mountains, exploring nearby towns and villages; swimming in the beautiful pool or the sea and stalking wild boar at 1:30am!!!

Annie and Alasdair : August 2004. We have enjoyed a thoroughly pleasant and relaxing 2 weeks. We loved the house and the pool. The boule was good, the weather fabulous although we did experience some very strong winds.

Edmund and Judith 2008   We have had a fantastic holiday, the pool temperature reached 29°C for almost the two weeks of our stay.We loved the peaceful setting almost of all the memory of sitting by the pool under the shade of the pine tree will be with us always.

Fiona and Jim 2009:   Sécotine is a wonderfully relaxing location; One feels like it is in the middle of nowhere and yet Toulon is just 20 minutes away. We had great trips to Nice, Porquerolles Saint Tropez, Vence etc...

We have been coming to France for three weeks every year since 1999 and this is the first year with wall to wall sunshine Provence is truly a beautiful place and Sécotine the best place to see it from.

Holiday Accommodation at The Villa Sécotine

Accommodation comprises of:

• Spacious dining /sitting room with comfortable furniture and open fire place as well as  an air conditioner unit.The room  faces south  and opens onto the main terrace which overlooks the pool, offers a stunning view towards the mountains and is ideal for barbecues and dining outdoors.

Downstairs:

• Bedroom 1 with twin beds next to the main bathroom.
• One bathroom equipped with bath tub, wash basin, bidet, and for child care.

Upstairs :

• Bedroom 2 with double bed
• Bedroom 3 a twin en suite bedroom, opening to a sunny terrace .
• Separate shower room with toilets on the ground floor.
• Fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, oven and microwave oven), Hi Fi, Cd player, Satellite TV is available with English channels.

The bedrooms face north and cooler during the summer. No air-conditioning.

About Sollies Ville in Var, Provence - Cote d'Azur

Although 8 miles from the main urban center of Toulon and the ancient city of Hyères, the location is very quiet and relaxing as there is no noise nuisance in the neighbourhood.

The medieval village of Solliès Ville located 4 kilometers from the house hosts some classical music concerts on most Sundays during summer  in the village church which contains a 500 years old organ recently restored.

You can dine at two restaurants on the village plaza under the plane trees.

Sollies ville has two bread shops but the main shopping center is at La Farlède, 6 km from the house. The main commercial center including fashion shops and department stores is located on the main highway leading to toulon, 6 km from La Farlède.

How To Get To Sollies Ville in Var, South of France and the Riviera

The Toulon Saint Tropez airport is only 12 miles from the house. There are daily flights from London Stansted and the airport offers car rental facilities. Same applies to Toulon TGV railway station. Many people  travel by train to Avignon, straight from UK and rent a car there. Another possible railway station is Aix en provence (Aix TGV)
