Home description

Chateau de la Motte is located in Languedoc (south of France) near the town of Narbonne, on the outskirts of the small village of Marcorignan only 20 km from the Mediterranean Sea. The houses are built in the old traditional style and are set in wonderful gardens surrounded by beautiful countryside.

The houses have been built into the walls of the old fortified farm buildings that are attached to the family castle. Hidden away beneath the charm of the old stone and rambling ivy, the interiors are both modern and comfortable. The houses were renovated a few years ago and retain much of their original charm. The rooms have some pieces of antique furniture. There are 10 houses altogether within the grounds.

Garden

Each house has a private garden with a barbecue, patio/garden furniture.

The swimming pool (12m x 6m) is situated in an area of trees and grassy parkland covered with pines, oleander bushes and olive trees. In this beautiful park you will also find ample playing facilities for children (swings, table football, table-tennis, basketball net, volleyball court, "pétanque" court, etc.). The domain is extremely vast (50 hectares) and is perfect for walks and cycle rides.

You will receive a warm reception from the family de Séguin des Hons and assure you they will do their best to make your vacations as pleasant as possible.

Each house has its own garden with luxuriant vegetation, which allows for complete privacy. There is a shared Laundry Room.

About the location

The Languedoc region is renowned for its countryside, history, reasonable restaurants and plentiful wine. The area is particularly known for its immense sandy beaches, its salt-water lakes and the picturesque Canal du Midi. The history is testified in Cathar castles, Cistercian abbeys and the medieval walled city of Carcassonne.
