This renovated 400 year old very spacious and homely cottage is in a quiet hamlet, has a large garden and provides a tranquil retreat for a restful holiday. It is set amid quiet countryside, 1/2 hour from the beaches of the Emerald Coast, the historic town of St Malo and Brittany's capital city Rennes, it is only 10 minutes from the beautiful medieval town of Dinan.

Ground Floor

• Kitchen - a large family kitchen with original beams and heaps of character. It also has all the modern conveniences you will require to be comfortable for your stay i.e. fridge/freezer, dishwasher. washing machine and other useful kitchen equipment. The kitchen has a huge original fireplace which contains an old range (not working), a large pine farmhouse table with six chairs, pine dresser, wine racks and a range of fitted cupboards, sink, built in oven and hob with 3 gas rings and one electric.
• Salon - large beamed salon has a TV (UK satellite) and video with a selection of videos for all the family and a CD player. Two sofas and chair seat six comfortably around a coffee table and another huge original fireplace. There is also a table for jigsaws or game playing. A large buffet contains a wide selection of games for all the family together with a few jigsaws for your use.

The original staircase which leads to the first floor is in the salon.

First Floor

• Bedroom 1 - master bedroom, fully furnished with double bed, wardrobe, dressing table and bedside tables. The master bedroom has its original beams and fireplace. En-suite shower room with basin and toilet.
• Bedroom 2 - fully furnished with double bed, wardrobe and bedside tables.
• Bedroom 3 - fully furnished with two single beds, bedside table, wardrobe, chest of draws and bookcase.
• House bathroom.
• Separate toilet.

The following items are available for babies - full sized cot, travel cot, baby chair for attaching to kitchen table and changing mat.

The house is centrally heated for cooler months and winter lets. No smokers please. Outside there is a patio with table and six chairs and a charcoal barbecue. You will also find in the cellier (outside storage room) a selection of outdoor games for your use.

About the location

Attractions close by include Chateau Bourbansais, which has a beautifully set out zoo, the lovely town of Combourg which also has a picturesque chateau set above the lake and Cobac Park, which the children will love together with Zoo Loisir, to name but a few.

How to get here

The cottage is just a 20 minute drive from St Malo and a half hour drive from the city of Rennes. It is 5 hours drive away from the French side of the Channel tunnel.
