Welcome to the Domaine de Saint-Apolis, a XVIIth century family and wine domaine in the heart of sunny Languedoc Roussillon, 5 km from Pezenas and only 12 km away from the Mediterranean.

The owners have tastefully restored the authentic buildings into a selection of superb cottages with all the comforts of modern living, in a private garden with a shared access to a lovely pool with sunbeds and parasols. Wander around the colourful markets in picturesque villages, enjoy the Mediterranean beaches and inland lakes, admire magnificent scenery - all the riches of Languedoc are here for you to discover.

The Domaine boasts a selection of nine superb cottages offering a choice of spacious two or three bedroom accommodation. They have been individually decorated in style with the historic surroundings mixing french antiques with modern comfort.

Most of the cottages still boast original features and comprise a large living room with a kitchen corner, a bathroom with bath and shower and two or three bedrooms as required and separate toilets. The kitchens are fully equipped with 4 hobs, dishwasher, microwave, traditional oven, fridge/freezer, kettle, coffee machine and all the essentials utensils. The living rooms are spacious (75-110 square metres) and sunny with large openings onto each individual secluded garden which are complete with their own barbecue and furniture. There is a choice of double and twin bedrooms depending on number of guests and a convertible sofa bed in the living room. There is central heating in all houses.

The owners will be happy to provide a complimentary high chair and/or cot should you be travelling with a little one.

The Grounds

The cottages are set amidst large and totally enclosed luxurious gardens, surrounded by acres of vineyards, meadows and woodlands. There is a shared access to a large enclosed swimming pool (13 m x 7 m) with terrace, deck chairs and parasols. There is also a table tennis table, a children's swing and a private tennis court is free for use 1 km away.

The cottages have shared access to a laundry room with telephone, washing machine and ironing facilities and secure parking is available. There is a housekeeper on the premises who can even deliver fresh bread and bakeries on request for your french breakfasts!

About the location

Domaine de Saint-Apolis lies in the heart of all the tourist riches of Languedoc Roussillon. It is ideally located for beaches, exploring the region and the countryside

For all your cultural visits, Pèzenas (5 km) or the 'Little Versailles' of the Languedoc is not to be missed, Béziers and its famous World Héritage Canal du Midi that links the Mediterranean to the Atlantic, Sète the 'little Venice of the Languedoc' and picturesque traditional Marseillan ports.

There is still plenty to do further away including visiting the medieval city of Carcassonne, the Cloîsters of Saint Guilhem du Désert and the Camargue to name but a few. Of course all the numerous traditional villages of the surroundings with their traditional colourful markets and restaurants serving delicious local wines and culinary specialities are not to be missed!

How to get here

Languedoc is in South of France on the edge of the Mediterranean coast.

Pèzenas (5 km) and Béziers (18 km) are the nearest towns. Domaine de Saint-Apolis is located just outside the village of Florensac.

Nearest highways are the A75 and A9, 3 km away.

Nearest International airports are Montpellier (45 miniutes drive) Beziers (20 minutes drive), Carcassonne , Nîmes (90 km) and Perpignan  (about 75 minutes drive )  Marseilles ,Toulouse and Avignon are about 2 hours drive away. The Domaine also benefits from the latest high speed train TGV Méditerranée that links Montpellier to Paris in 3 hours and to Béziers or Agde in 3 hours 35 minutes.
