This delightful south facing farmhouse boasts many original features.

This 17th Century stone farmhouse with its original oak beams, large stone fireplaces and tiled floors, is situated in a quiet hamlet overlooking the valley of the River Sioule and the gorges of Chouvigny.  If it is rest and relaxation you are looking for then this small hamlet, 3 hours drive from Paris, at an altitude of approximatly 450 metres with beautiful views across forested and rolling hills is an ideal retreat.

The accommodation sleeps 4 and comprises:

• Living Room - large room with volvic stone fireplace and comfortably furnished.  Books area available for your use.
• Dining Room - with volvic stone fireplace
• Kitchen - traditional with washing machine, cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, and kitchen equipment for 6 people.
• 2 Twin Bedrooms - spacious rooms with ample wardrobe space
• Bathroom - large room with shower, washbasin, bidet and toilet

The upstairs bedrooms and bathroom are fully carpeted throughout whilst the ground floor is tiled.

Outside

The secluded and private walled garden with patio and BBQ eating area makes an ideal out door dining room.  Garden furniture is supplied.  There is also ample parking space on the gravelled courtyard.

The Auvergne in central France is an area unspoilt by tourists and offers mountains, extinct volcanoes, lakes, river gorges, spa towns, mediaeval castles, many chateaux and Romanesque Churches.

How to get here

Air France flies from London City Airport direct to Clermont Ferrand which is 50 km from the farmhouse. 

• There are also daily flights from Stanstead to St. Etienne and Limoges by Ryanair. 
• Car hire is available from these airports.
• Regular ferries operate from Dover to Boulogne and Calais and the drive down takes approximately 7 hours. 
• Speedferries from Dover to Boulogne offer very competitive fares and can be booked on-line.
