Beautiful five bedroom farmhouse with pool in the Dordogne

A gorgeous five bedroom farmhouse and converted barn situated in a lovely private, peaceful and enclosed location within a 15 minute stroll of the beautiful medieval village of Saint Pierre de Frugie. This is a fantastic property and location for a great family holiday.

Les Landes is completely secluded within its own grounds and has its own pool, which is a beautiful shade of dark blue. There is a lovely paved terrace around the pool, which is tastefully fenced. There is also a beautiful wooden gazebo beside the pool if you want to escape to the shade. This is where the big outside table and chairs and bbq are - perfect for summer dining. To the rear of the property is another covered area which houses the table tennis table.

There really is lots to do around the area - with many lovely places to visit and activities for all ages further afield. The village is beautiful and  completely unspoilt.

Holiday Accommodation at Les Landes

Ground floor

• Kitchen/dining room - fully equipped with microwave, dishwasher, gas hob and oven. There is ample storage with a lovely dresser. The dining area is very spacious with double ceiling height and an exposed stone wall.  There is a large solid wood table and chairs.
• Mezzanine - lovely feature area over the kitchen/dining room
• Sitting room - beautiful room that opens onto the pool and terrace area through a large sliding glass door. Wooden beams and an exposed stone wall are combined with comfortable furnishings including two large leather sofas.
• Master bedroom - with large ensuite bathroom/dressing room. Nice window with wooden shutters opens onto rear garden. 
• Bathroom -  fully fitted with washing machine and separate toilet. Ideal for guest bathroom as it leads onto the pool, garden and terrace area.

First floor

• 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom - which share bathroom.
• Bathroom - large fully-equipped room with bath, toilet and wash hand basin.
• Fifth bedroom - a twin room is accessed externally from stairs running up the side of the house

All bedrooms are furnished with storage facilities. A cot is available by request.
 

Pool and Garden
 

The pool  is a beautiful shade of dark blue. It has a semi circular shallow area which is perfect for young children paddling. It  has a paved terrace area with plenty of sun loungers and is securely fenced.
 

Beside the pool there is a lovely timber beamed sheltered dining area which also provides permanent shelter from the hot sun if required. It is especially nice for children to get some shade. There is also a large grassed area perfect for games of rounders or football!

There is lots of room for parking and to the rear of the property there is another covered area which houses the table tennis table.

About St Pierre De Frugie in Dordogne, Aquitaine

Saint Pierre de Frugie is a beautiful village with a lovely church, school and Mairie (town hall). In the village there is also a great bar/café Le Saint-Pierre with a gorgeous terrace overlooking the valley, and another small, family-run restaurant serving delicious home cooked meals. There is a lake a short stroll from the house and a recreational area with a children’s playground.

La Coquille is a small market town which is a 5 minute drive away. It has all the facilities you could require including a supermarket, pizzeria, bakeries, chemist, a lovely restaurant and a small market every Thursday.

At Bussiere Galant which is a cycle ride or short drive away, there is an activity centre with a lake and beach (Plan D’eau) for swimming,. It has a toddlers' paddle area, volley ball, crazy golf, fishing, tennis and boules. It also has an adventure climb (Acrobois) through the forest which is a huge hit with children, teenagers and indeed adults of all ages.  There is horse riding, canoeing, karting, tennis, donkey trails, cross-country cycling, quad biking and golf locally.

There are plenty of places to visit nearby; Brantome, the “Venice of the Dordogne”, Juhmilhac Le Grand with its amazing chateau, Perigueux a lovely medieval and cultural city, and Limoges the capital of porcelain are a short drive away, with the more touristy spots of Sarlat, Domme, Bergerac and Ezyiat an easy day-trip away.

How To Get To St Pierre De Frugie in Dordogne, South West France

Les Landes is a 35 minute drive from Limoges airport which is served by direct flights to seven UK destinations, or 1.5 hour drive from Bergerac. It is a 3.5 hour drive from Paris and a 2.5 hour drive from Bordeaux.
