Home description

Mas Manyaques, nestled in the most southerly valley in France, has six two and three bedroom apartments set in a tradtional Catalan farmhouse built in 1789. Ideal for groups or big families.

The Mas looks directly onto the River Tech and is set in 25 acres of its own gardens and grounds. There is a large pool (20m), table tennis, swings and riverside barbeque areas. Manyaques even has its own chapel within its grounds. It is situated on the French/Spanish border near Perignan and Girona airports.

Accommodation detail

La Chapelle is a 3 bedrooms apartment with a south facing terrace covered with a virginia creeper overlooking the river. The terrace runs all along the front of the apartment and has a private barbecue and outdoor dining facilities placed to catch the evening sun on a wooden deck. La Chapelle has been completely refurbished last year (2010). It has a huge bathroom with separate shower and bath and the kitchen is fully fitted with a dishwasher. The master bedroom has French doors, which open out right over the river, the second bedroom is a twin. This apartment enjoys complete seclusion from the rest of the house with its own car parking and external entrance. The apartment comes with CD player TV and DVD. The Mas has clothes washing machines that everyone can use.

The apartment has good quality linen, towels and comfortable beds.

About the location

From the cultural market town of Ceret to Prats De Mollo with its hilltop Fort Lagarde the local towns and villages are beautiful and full of activities. The Mas sits between the beautiful beaches of the Mediterreanean and the Pyrenees right next to the Spanish border. Walking, Mediterreanean beaches, trout fishing, skiing, canoeing, biking, horse riding, thermal baths, gorges, white water rafting, Spain and ancient hilltop villages are all readily available from the Mas.

The Mas is accessible from both Perpignan (50mins), Girona (1hr15mins) and Barcelona (2hrs) airports with Ryanair, Flybe, bmibaby, Easyjet, BA and many others from many airports in the UK and Europe.
