We have returned to The Sunflower again this year, and it was as good as we remembered. This time we knew how well equipped it would be and could travel much lighter as a consequence. Our three year old daughter enjoyed splashing about in the pool and we stayed in every evening, just enjoying the tranquillity and either BBQ-ing or cooking using the lovely food we had bought in the local shops and markets. We think we are now classed as 'regulars' and we hope to be back again; we have friends who might stay in The Hideaway at the same time. Can't wait!

We had a brilliant holiday at the Sunflower and would highly recommend it. It was without doubt the best equipped Gite we have stayed in.
The owners Jane and Steve are a really lovely couple who were very thoughtful and accommodating. They helped to make our holiday so enjoyable. The welcome pack of food and charcoal for the barbecue was great to get us started. After a long journey it was such a relief to be able to relax straight into the holiday without having to immediately go out shopping for milk, bread, cheese etc.
The information pack provided was very comprehensive and we even received a weekly sheet informing us of local events.
The area is stunning and the views from the Ridge are amazing. It is such a tranquil location and a great place to unwind. The garden and pool are really well maintained, and equipped. We loved sitting out every night and taking in the peace and quiet.
We spent many hours cycling and walking around the area. The roads are so quite and traffic free. There are many pretty villages to explore.
We look forward to returning.

Thanks Steve and Jane for a fabulous holiday. It was a treat to arrive to such a pretty and well-stocked gite. You thought of everything, even the barbecue coals for our first night!
We appreciated your assistance with our requests for horse riding and restaurant reservations, and all the small touches that made our stay very easy and very good fun. The children appreciated the DVD library and most of all, the pool! The games kept them occupied, enabling us to relax.
The setting is magnificent. We really enjoyed waking up to such a stunning view every day, and loved the stillness and tranquillity in the evening.
We hope to return and have already recommended you to our friends, thank you.

We would definitely recommend a stay in this lovely place. The Sunflower is pretty and we could not believe that we even had barbecue coals provided for our first night. The service provided by Steve and Jane was exceptional, from the booking process onwards. As avid walkers, we were also delighted when we were lent some local footpath maps, and Jane even made contact with the local rambling group who allowed us to join walks. There are also lots of guided tourist walks organised by the local councils.
It was fabulous to be able to cool off afterwards in the pool, which is set down in the grounds and from where you can float and watch the scenery. We ate out once or twice in the very nice restaurants which were recommended in the information pack provided, and also attended a local festival which we found out about via the 'events this week' guide that Jane puts together, and which was great fun. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable holiday with fantastic hosts.

We cannot speak highly enough of the Ridge, we absolutely loved it. It felt like home and is the perfect base for exploring this fabulous part of France. The area is stunningly beautiful, with wonderful countryside walks and villages to explore.
The hillside location is very private and quiet; the terrace has fantastic views over the valley and the swimming pool and on a beautiful clear evening, with the air warm and completely still you can only hear the sound of crickets and the occasional owl calling.
Your hosts have put a lot of thought into what you might need and it was great to arrive and be provided with a starter pack of food and household items so that we only needed our clothes and washbags, everything else was taken care of. Children are well catered for with satellite TV and a broad selection of DVDs as well as board games, garden and pool toys.
We will definitely return!
