Les Alpes 11 was completed recently and is half of a small and exclusive Italian designed complex, situated right in the heart of the town centre, yet at the same time very tranquil. It has a private approach bridge and entrance over the Arve, which flows directly beside the apartment building. With its fifth floor rooftop vantage point, it offers great views of the Mont Blanc massif and you will love the high, angled ceilings and extra room offered with the mezzanine, giving a wonderful feeling of light and space.

The apartment is a few metres from the varied shops and restaurants of Chamonix town. The unique layout of the apartment makes it an ideal choice for those looking for versatile and luxurious accommodation in the centre of the town.

The area of the Haute Savoie has spectacular scenery including mountains, lakes, glaciers, charming traditional old towns, chateaux and picturesque villages. Both Italy and Switzerland are readily accessible. The Mont Blanc tunnel, which is on the edge of the town, gives access to Italy within half an hour while driving or taking the train over the pass above Le Tour to Valorcine takes you to Switzerland in the same time. On the same day you could take breakfast in Switzerland's Montreux (home of Freddie Mercury), lunch in Aosta or Courmayeur and ski, and be back in time for a drink and a meal and a flutter in the Chamonix Casino by evening.

Accommodation detail

The construction was completed to the highest specification with all finishings being of the finest materials. A central building system manages essential services, which can be controlled from within the apartment.

The Apartment Pepino is light and airy, it is a 65 square metre, two bedroom, self-catering apartment with mezzanine offering excellent accommodation for 4-6 people.

• Kitchen area - is modern with fridge/freezer, oven/hob, dishwasher and a breakfast bar area. All the necessary accoutrements are present for an excellent gastronomic experience.
• Lounge/dining area - has a window affording great southerly views of Mont Blanc and the Aiguille and is very comfortably furnished with a pine dining table and chairs, sofa, TV/video, CD player and direct access to the mezzanine level overlooking the lounge, with sofa bed and adjacent bathroom with its own WC and wash basin. This is an ideal solution for mixed sex/age families where you wish to separate children or groups.
• Bedroom 1 - is a double bedroom with views towards the Brevent mountains. Simply furnished with pine wardrobe, bedside tables and lights.
• Bedroom 2 - is a twin bedroom also with views towards the Brevent mountains. Furnished as above.
• Mezzanine - sleeping area 3 - a double sofa bed provides a lovely and unique escape above the lounge, with a separate bathroom, consisting of toilet, bidet and washbasin.
• Bathroom - has a bath with shower, wash basin, bidet and WC. Racking is provided to dry wet clothing.

Security

Electronic transmitters allow access to gate and garage areas. Tenants can move directly from garage to apartment via the elevator. Entry is on the fifth floor through a high security door, with a video entryphone to only allow authorised visitors thorough the main door. There is no telephone so it would be advisable to bring a mobile for enhanced security. The apartment door is a masterpiece of security, being constructed to a very high security profile with a multiple locking mechanism, peephole and safety bar.

Storage

There is plenty of storage space in the apartment, with floor to ceiling cupboards in the entrance hall and sets of drawers and wardrobes in the bedrooms. For ski/bike storage there is a ski cave in the basement.

Parking

There is secure underground parking in the basement garage with a dedicated parking place, which is accessed directly from the elevator, for one vehicle. A heated ramp ensures access in the deep winter.

About the location

This luxury apartment is in the very centre of Chamonix Mont Blanc.  The town is at the foot of Mont Blanc  and has a cable car to the Aiguille du Midi which at 3842m (12,600ft), gives incredible views into Switzerland and Italy and a further cable car across the glacier takes you into the Italian Alps. A mountain railway also runs to the Mer de Glace glacier.

Close at hand are the popular towns of Megeve and St. Gervais, the Lake at Passy and the enchanting Lac Vert.

One hours drive brings you to Lac Leman (Lake Geneva) and the towns of Evian Thonon and Geneva. Also the picturesque medieval village of Yvoire where a 25 min trip on a 'steamer' will take you across the lake into Switzerland. Travelling south takes you to Annecy with its famous clear lake, quaint old town and castle.

Socially Chamonix is an unpretentious town with a vibrant evening scene for all ages. Restaurants, first class hotels, casino, cinema, cyber bars, drinking bars, clubs, discos, organised local shows and entertainment, evening events, excellent shopping with sales in the season, talks and expositions. How to get here

Airlines - Swiss, British, French and low cost airlines all fly into Geneva from many domestic and international airports.

Buses/taxis/minivans - there are many new and cheaper communal and private hire services being provided to ferry passengers to Chamonix.  These are bookable on the net.

By Car - from Calais the motorway runs right through to Sallanches a few kilometres from Chamonix. The drive is 580 miles and takes approximately eight hours. The nearest international airport is Geneva which is 60 minutes on the motorway to Chamonix. Geneva flights leave from all major UK airports. Car hire is readily available as soon as you leave Swiss customs.

The airport is both in France and Switzerland, with a connecting checkpoint. Car hire is right outside Customs to the left. Cars are in the basement car park. Get a ticket to get you out of the car park. On leaving you can access the "Route Blanche" A40 motorway on leaving the airport, follow the signs for Lausanne/ France and once over the border, you will see the signs for Chamonix Mont Blanc.

By Train - there are train services from Gare de Lyon (Paris) including TGV terminating at St Gervais/Le Fayet, change here for the Chamonix tourist train.
