This elegant 18th Century chateau with adjoining buildings, including the hunting lodge and the cottage, is set in 5 hectares of parkland, with swimming pool, grass tennis court, pond & stream, kitchen garden, plantation of trees, and original gazebo. The two buildings are independent from the chateau and both offer quiet, relaxing and very comfortable accommodation with style and are equipped to a high standard.

The chateau was rented by Eugene O'Neill, famous American playwright for 3 years in 1929 and was the Bulgarian Embassy during the Second World War.

About the location

The chateau is only 6 miles from Tours, but in complete countryside and well situated for visiting the Chateaux of the Loire Valley, the wine regions such as Vouvray, Chinon, St Nicolas de Bourgueil, or simply golf, fishing, cycling, swimming and tennis. The village of Saint-Antoine-du-Rocher even has its own megalithic dolmen, troglodyte house, and an ancient chapel in the rockface.
