Home description

Les Jasmins has been renovated to a very high standard. There are 2 double bedrooms each with an en-suite shower room. The gite is situated in the small, very quiet hamlet of Villeperdue near Sacey, which is well away from main roads and traffic but being only 20 minutes south of Mont St. Michel it is ideally situated for exploring both Normandy and Brittany and parts of the Loire, whether for holiday or house-hunting. Short breaks are available during the low season, please contact the owners.

The owners have tried to think of everything to make the gîte as comfortable as possible and that extra bit special. They will provide you with a luxury welcome pack plus everything is provided from toilet rolls to dishwasher tablets, flannels to an emergency repair kit including emery boards! The gite is cleaned from top to bottom between lets.

Dinner - if you arrive tired after a long journey then let Phyllis cook you dinner so your holiday starts as soon as you unpack! A comprehensive choice of menu is available (see owners' website) including vegetarian dishes. Don't want to cook all week - no problem - let Phyllis do it for you!

Les Jasmins comprises:

• Living /dining room /kitchen – a large open-plan room with a very comfortable seating area, large dining table and chairs, English TV, a DVD player, radio,  hi-fi system and video player, plus a good selection of tapes, DVDs, CDs, videos, books and games. The french doors open onto the garden and flood the room with light and sunshine. There is a well fitted kitchen of birch units, with an oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster and ironing facilities, plus all the china, glasses and utensils, etc. you are likely to need.
• Bedrooms – there are two bedrooms each with a double bed, fitted wardrobe, antique pine chest of drawers with mirror and bedside 'pot' cupboards, bedside lamps and chairs plus tea and coffee making facilities and a hair dryer. One room overlooks the garden and orchard, the other looks down the village to the countryside beyond.
• Shower rooms – each bedroom has its own quality en-suite shower room including a heated towel rail for lovely warm towels.

Les Jasmins is double glazed and has electric central heating for those cold nights and off-season visits.

Outside

The gîte has its own private south facing garden where you can take meals surrounded by colourful plants and shrubs plus hanging baskets and tubs in the summer. Deck chairs are provided so that guests can sit back and enjoy the summer sunshine.

Regretfully no children under 14.

Although the gite is quite private it is attached the resident owners’ main house so they are there for any help or advice you may want about the area and places to visit etc.

About the location

The nearest town is Antrain which is 5 minutes away by car, where there is a boulangerie and boucherie as well as two small supermarkets plus a couple of bars and restaurants. Pontorson, which is 10 minutes away, has two major supermarkets, all the shops you could require as well as a wide range of restaurants. St. James is also 10 minutes away, again with supermarkets, shops and restaurants.

How to get here

Les Jasmins is 2 ¼ hours from Cherbourg, 1 ¾ hours from Caen, 45 minutes from St. Malo, therefore offering a choice of ferries, plus Dinard and Rennes airports, with car hire, are both approx. 45 minutes away.
