Previously the farmhouse to a well-established vineyard, Le Roc Nord offers you and your family not only an idyllic location for a self -catering holiday with sunshine, peace and wonderful historical countryside, but also the opportunity to enjoy plenty of activities and superb food and wine. The farmhouse, which has been meticulously renovated, is spacious and equipped to a very high standard.

This extremely flexible accommodation is suitable for parties of all sizes. For 1 or 2 couples it is ideal, offering the ground floor and all the facilities - the upstairs rooms will be closed off and unoccupied. For larger groups the full accommodation is available plus all the facilities. The weekly rate will depend on the size of your party.

Ground Floor:

• Kitchen - is light and airy with seating for eight, and is well equipped with gas cooker, dish washer, washing machine, microwave, tea towels, iron and ironing board, food processor, fridge and freezer, double sink with drainer, toaster, cool box and freezer blocks, but retains the traditional atmosphere of a farmhouse kitchen. A magnificent range of built-in wooden cupboards provides ample storage.
• Salon - is elegantly and comfortably furnished with sofas and easy chairs, digital satellite TV, video recorder/DVD player,  music centre - CDs & cassettes, fire - for the cooler months and a varied selection of books and board games
• Double bedroom - with en-suite shower room
• Twin bedroom - with en-suite shower room
• Games room - attached to the farmhouse with a table tennis table and darts board.

First Floor:

• Double or twin bedroom - depending on your requirements the beds can be made up as you wish
• Twin bedroom
• Sitting room - with sofas and chairs, second TV, video and a good selection of books and board games - ideal for the children to get away from the parents!
• Bathroom - large room with bath, shower, basin, bidet and WC

All bedrooms have: Hair dryers; Electric blankets for the cooler months; Bed linen; Bathroom towels - please bring your own pool towels. A cot and high chair are available on request. There is central heating for the cooler months.

Outside:

The 10m x 5m private heated swimming pool is totally enclosed to give peace of mind to parents of young children. The pool has a diving board, roman steps and underwater lighting. It is maintained daily and has a salt system thus avoiding chlorine. There is a 7m x 4m shaded area for those who prefer some shade, sun beds, table and chairs.

Lawned gardens surround the house and beyond are the vineyards with wonderful views. There are two terraces around the house with ample garden furniture and two barbecues. There are facilities for badminton and boules, a sandpit and a paddling pool for the little ones.

About the location

Le Roc Nord is situated in a lovely position set amongst a working vineyard 1km from St. Vivien, half way between Bergerac and St.Emilion. There is a village shop, wine co-operative and tennis court in the village. Vélines is 3km with shops, pharmacy, doctor's surgery, hairdresser and bars.

The property is 15 minutes from the market towns of Montpon and Ste. Foy La-Grande both with a good selection of super markets and restaurants. Well worth a visit are the nearby medieval towns of Bergerac, Périgueux and St.Emilion.
