Les Prinquières is situated in a rural location between Gourdon and Sarlat-La-Canéda on the Dordogne/Lot border, with the Dordogne River being just 5.5km away.

Les Prinquières set in our own 8 acres of tranquil countryside, yet still very close to all the major tourist attractions and activities in the region, is a collection of 19th century farm buildings, which have recently been converted to create four luxurious self contained gîtes.

There is a 10 x 5 metre floodlit pool with terraces to lounge in the summer sun, a pool house with fridge and covered dining area, complete with traditional barbecue. Plenty of sun beds, chairs and parasols are provided for your comfort.

In the shade of the trees, there is a traditional Boules court with lighting to play in the long summer evenings whilst Badminton and Table tennis are also available.

Each gite is comfortably furnished and has a fully equipped kitchen with full gas cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher (not le Four à Pain & Le Noyer) microwave, and washing machine. Bed linen is provided and changed weekly. Outside each gite is a private terrace with gas barbecue and table and chairs, sorry no pets.

Weekly barbecue’s are organised by the pool with wine and salad provided, for any guests wishing to join in.

Although Le Four à Pain is one of 4 gites, it is set apart from the other 3 and is therefore more secluded and private, nestling on the edge of a small woodland yet not enclosed, it has it’s own patio with table and chairs, outside lighting and a gas barbecue.

Le Four à Pain is desgined for couples only and is on one level, there is a comfortably furnished bedroom with a separate kitchen/diner. At the rear of the property Le Four, an ancient bakers oven, has been restored as a feature. 

• Kitchen/diner  - has a full cooker, washing machine, a fridge with separate freezer compartment, microwave, coffee-maker, iron and ironing board, the dining area has french doors leading out to the secluded patio.
• Double Bedroom – with a pine double bed, 2 seat sofa and a coffee table, ample cupboards and drawers for your clothes and possessions, there is a fully tiled en-suite shower room with cubicle shower, vanity wash basin and wc all new for 2006.

Les Prinquieres is situated between Gourdon and Sarlat-La-Canéda, the region, famous for its gastronomic specialities, has an abundance of interesting places to visit amongst the most famous in France:

• Château De Fénelon being 4km from Les Prinquières
• Eyzies; Rocamadour; The Grotte de Cougnac; St Cirq Lapopie, Gouffre de Padirac, to name a few all a short drive away.
• If you like markets you can visit one for every day of the week, in fact Sarlat and Gourdon have 2, although they can both get busy on market days so it is best to arrive early.
• We have quite a few small local restaurants or you can choose from many more in Sarlat  and Gourdon

How to get here

Les Prinquières is easily reached by road, (the Souillac exit of the A20 motorway being approximately 10 miles away), we are situated between Gourdon and Sarlat and reasonably close to a selection of airports, Rodez airport which is 1hour 40mins away, and is a drive through some breathtaking countryside, or Limoges airport, (approx 1hr 30 mins),  Toulouse (approx 1hr 30 mins.) or Bgergerac airport (approx 1hr 30 mins).
