Located in the village of Marseillette on the Canal du Midi only 15 minutes from Carcassonnne, this large 3 bedroomed village house with south facing roof terrace and separate private enclosed courtyard, has been completely refurbished to a very high standard. The pool is located at the side of the house.

Ground floor

• Large Open plan living room with wood burning stove.  Furniture and fittings include armchairs, sofa bed, Satellite TV, DVD, CD player and Playstation.  The dining area has a large dining table and chairs.
• Well-equipped kitchen off the living area with fridge-freezer, 4 ring hob, extractor hood, oven, dishwasher and microwave.
• Shower room and wc.

First floor

• Main bedroom with double bed and ensuite bathroom.
• Second bedroom with double bed.
• Large bathroom with bath, shower, wash hand basin, bidet and wc.  The washing machine is situated there.
• Original wood floors throughout first floor.
• A door leads out from the first floor to the private enclosed courtyard with patio table, chairs and BBQ.

Second floor

• Large attic bedroom with 2 single beds and 2 fold up beds. It can also be used as a  games room as it has a pool table.  There are board games for children and books to read. 
• Roof terrace - large patio door leading to south facing roof terrace with views of the Aude valley and Mt. Alaric in the distance.

About the location

" Le Midi" is located in a village in the Languedoc-Roussillon area in the South of France, between the Minervois and Corbieres wine growing areas. The Medieval City of Carcassonne is only 15 minutes away. The village is on the Canal du Midi and the neighbouring town of Trebes is a main port of call where you can hire boats or just take a short trip on the Canal.

The Mediterranean beaches of Narbonne and Leucate are just 40 minutes away. Closer to home, 10 minutes away there is a lakeside beach.

Toulouse, Bezier, Narbonne, Montpelier and Perpignan are all within an hours drive and Barcelona and the beautiful Costa Brava are 2-3 hours drive. All cities are easily accesible by  train or motorway from Carcassonne.

Marseillette village has a Butcher/ Boulangerie, Bar, Hotel with Restaurant and Post Office. The nearby village of Capendu (2 minutes by car) has all additional facilities, e.g. Supermarket, Pharmacy, Bank, Doctor and Dentist. There are  markets in the surrounding villages on different days throughout the week. The nearby village of Homps has some lovely restaurants on the banks of the Canal.
