This beautifully restored Normandy 'chocolate box' cottage with private enclosed garden is set in a peaceful hamlet only 7 miles from the sea.  Situated in Seine Maritime in Upper Normandy it is only 10 miles over the Picardy border, 10 miles from the seaside resort of Dieppe, 90 miles from Calais and 60 miles from Le Havre. It is therefore easily accessible for holidays and short breaks.

This cottage is perfect for everyone, whether you want to explore the many bustling market towns nearby, stroll down the promenade, paddle in the sea, hit a round of golf or sit back and take in that soothing fresh air, then this is the place for you.

The cottage sleeps 4 adults + 2 children and an infant comfortably. It is semi-detached and furnished to a very high standard.

It has has an enclosed private garden set on three sides all laid to lawn. There is garden furniture, swings and its own wishing well (safe for kids) so any children staying will be more than happy!  There is off road parking for two cars.

Next door is owned by an English couple who are very helpful and friendly.

Ground floor

• Living room with a large open fire with wood burner (great for heating the whole house and wood is inclusive) exposed beamed ceiling with stairs to the 1st floor. Comfortable seating for 6. SKY DIGITAL TV with 70 English channels and full interactive services, DVD and VIDEO players with extensive adult and kids library. All English radio stations can be received on SKY.
  Playstation 2 with games and two controllers.
• Kitchen refitted for 2008, ceramic hob, electric oven, extractor, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and seating for 6  
• Downstairs WC.
• Single bedroom with bunk beds and large chest of drawers, electric heater.

First floor

• Master bedroom set in the eaves of the roof, fitted with kingsize pine bed, fitted pine wardrobes, dresser and bedside cabinets. Electric heater. There are two velux windows to stargaze through from your bed, sweet dreams!
• Twin bedroom two single beds with drawers and bedside cabinets, traditional balcony and velux window. Electric heater.
• Bathroom (refurbished in 2006) shower, sink and toilet with velux window.

About the location

The setting is the sleepy hamlet of Taillemesnil, set in rolling countryside and consisting of nine houses built up around the nearby farm.

The village of Bailly en Riviere is just ¾ of a mile away where you will find a shop and pub.  You can buy fresh bread, groceries and a swift glass of wine all under the same roof - perfect for a stroll down the lane!
