The 3 gites at Lautreville date back to around the 1700s. Built of slate and granite they have many interesting architectural features and are situated only 5 km from the medieval town of Josselin with its glorious Chateau and the Nantes/Brest Canal, many bars/restaurants, weekly market, fishing, boat hire, doll museum and much much more. 

Our  self catering holiday gites/cottages offer well equipped and comfortable accommodation and enjoy a peaceful situation overlooking valleys, countryside and farmland. Relaxing in your own Hot Tub or the shared Swimming Pool and raising your glass to celebrate with a drink or two could be your only exertion of the day!

Closed tread stairs lead you to the landing. Off this is a main double bedroom, twin bedroom (with the option of a third bed/cot) and a shower room with WC.

About the location

The jewel in the crown, Josselin, is only 5km away. An extremely attractive medieval town complete with its own fairytale chateau. Plenty of photo opportunities are contained in this 'Petit Cité of Character'. It boasts many restaurants for those of you who enjoy dining out, coupled with restful cafes and bars overlooking the 'Basilica de Notre Dame' in the town square. Here you can enjoy pavement seating just watching the world go by and during the summer months enjoy the many musical soirees on offer. A pleasant stroll along the Nantes/Brest canal provides you with spectacular views of the chateau well into the evening when it is magically lit for that extra 'Wow' factor.

Close by is the town of Ploermel.  Here you can spend a day or two visiting 'Lac au Duc', a large leisure area dedicated to many water sports, fishing and children's play areas. It hosts its very own sandy beach with a cordoned off safe swimming area. Those of you who enjoy a round or two of golf will be delighted to know that it also has its own picturesque 9 hole golf course.

Only 40 minutes drive from Lautreville is the Morbihan coastline. Plenty of wonderful beaches, coves and fishing ports are on offer here. There is nothing nicer than finding a Breton restaurant serving its world famous seafood.  Take the time to enjoy a delicious 'Fruits de Mer' coupled with a bottle of chilled white wine or even a platter of local oysters with a glass or two of champagne - wonderful!

Vannes - hosting a twice-weekly market, is a busy bustling place offering the visitor much to see and do. Just meander along the portside admiring all the sailing vessels. A sight to behold. Once again, you will find numerous cafes, bars and restaurants to while away an hour or two, after which you can stroll through the medieval streets and admire the architectural features on offer. A visit to the ramparts provides you with some lovely views of the colourful landscaped gardens below. There are some wonderful individual shops here offering many a tempting bargain to take back with you!
