Home description

This property offers four delightful gites in a beautiful setting of total tranquility (no children). Relax and enjoy its landscaped gardens and private fishing lake.

The property is conveniently located for Bordeaux, La Rochelle and Bergerac airports. Ideal base for tourism, wine tasting or house hunting in the Gironde, Charente and north Dordogne. Short breaks and long lets are available as the cottages are open all year. The owner can be flexible with the changeover day to allow mid week ferry crossings and cheaper flights out of season.

• 12m x 6m swimming pool

Garden and Pool

The 12m x 6m swimming pool is terraced and is shared between the guests and the owner. It is open from mid May to mid September . Loungers and parasols are provided for guests use. Table tennis and bikes have been installed for the more energetic or you can enjoy a lazy game of boules, cycle through the surrounding vineyards sampling the local wine or enjoy the welcome shade of the weeping willow. The landscaped garden leads down to the private fishing lake stocked with carp, brochet, black bass etc

Detached stone cottage (45m²) with private terrace and barbecue overlooking garden and lake. Ideal for couples seeking privacy. The cottage has a light, modern interior and comprises:

• Open plan kitchen/lounge/diner, fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and combi oven.
• Double bedroom with en-suite shower and toilet.

Television (BBC channels) and  DVD player are available in the cottage and winter heating is by electric radiators.

About the location

Lou Paradou is situated on the border of the Gironde and Charente Maritime and is surrounded by vineyards. Part of a sleepy hamlet, guests enjoy total tranquility yet are only minutes from supermarkets and restaurants.
