Where is it

Calvados

My husband is English and I am French. We have created a spacious, comfortable Bed & Breakfast,  in a beautiful gateway  place, in the heart of the Normandy country side. It is also very near the coast, only 12 miles, about 25mn away. It is ideally situated for touring and has a great variety of activities close by. Our aim is to provide you with a total stress free environment, restore your energy and share the beauty of our place. Soon Chris will be offering NLP Coaching week-ends (Details will follow).

The property lies within the famous golden triangle of Calvados called "The garden of the coast", because of its valleys and pockets of beauty and its spectacular views. It faces a valley and some woods and is surrounded by a wonderful relaxing garden, there are also a copse and a wild meadow.

The place is constantly bathed in a beautiful light and on sunny days, it is very hot and wonderful. When the sun sets on the valley, it reveals amazing skies. There is a lake in the distance, which one can see more fully as trees loose their leaves, and it is truly a striking sight of peace and beauty as the sun hits the water in the winter months. This is a convenient place to visit Normandy but it is also ideal for a return to the source for the lovers of nature and authenticity.

The B&B is situated between the big towns of Pont L'Eveque and Lisieux, which are about 10mn and 15mn away. Hidden away, yet only a stroll of a few hundred yards, from the very picturesque and preserved village of "Blangy Le Chateau", which offers a warm nostalgic feeling of the past, but also the energy and liveliness of today's Normandy. It has all the facilities of modern life. Its people have kept the simplicity and traditions of yesterday. They are very friendly and welcoming, the village is lived in and very safe, and the pace is tranquil. Blangy and its area stay alive all year round.

GUEST COMMENTS:

I must say that Nicola & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at ''Belle Vue” and the surroundings.
The lounging area is spotlessly clean & spacious, the bathroom fittings are modern & top quality.
The bedroom is comfortable and having a skylight to see a clear sky from your bed in the morning is lovely. The continental breakfast feast laid on is brilliant.
Blangy-Le-Chateau is a quaint little village, with a small bar/cafe and 2 tasty restaurants, everything you'd expect from rural France and also very central to explore Normandy.
Rhys

Thank you again for making our trip to Normandy so pleasant, and making us feel so welcome. We had a lovely stay with you, the accommodation was modern, clean and very comfortable, and the views from our rooms were very scenic.
I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone looking for a nice relaxing stay in Normandy.
Hope to visit you again sometime next year.

On a vraiment passé un super weekend. Le site est splendide. On a fait une cure de chaises longues sur le gazon.  c’était vraiment génial En tout cas, je n’hésiterai pas a vous recommander a des amis… merci encore ! Farida

Belle View is the most wonderful place to stay. We love it so much, we have returned three times. The view from the lovely garden is stunning and it is very peaceful, yet within a few minutes of the town. We have many happy memories of our holidays here and would thoroughly recommend Belle View. Hilary

A great big thank you for one of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had!  Blangy is a lovely place nestled among the hills. The house itself is in the most peaceful location. We really enjoyed our holiday in Normandy, with its lovely mixture of historical/local places of interest and fabulously clean beaches. Fantastic!  No wonder you love your house. Debbie

We have had a very nice break. The weather was kind to us, some mist in the mornings but sunny and warm when it cleared. Loved the village and the proximity to the coastal towns.  (And the golf courses of which we played 3). Eric

We really enjoyed staying in your lovely house. We toured around (some of the villages you suggested were very lovely), the D-Day beaches etc. Normandy was beautiful with all the trees in bloom. Played tennis every day and my sons were attracted to the lake to do some serious fishing. Derk
