You will love this little house. It is in the perfect position, right in the centre of Dinan's popular port area. It is beautifully decorated and furnished in natural colours and fabrics and has a really restful and relaxing feel – a friendly and welcoming home to come back to at the end of a day exploring the delights of Dinan and this wonderful part of Brittany. And there are no worries about where to park – just drive through the entrance gates and park in your own private slot.

The house is part of a small exclusive development on the quayside. Set behind electronic gates it has a central courtyard where children can play in safety.

Just imagine wandering out and sitting at the riverside with your morning coffee enjoying the peace and tranquillity of this magical spot before the daily bustle begins. Step to the boulangerie by the little hump back bridge for wonderful bread and croissants. Later on, a couple of paces take you to a café or restaurant for a lazy lunch or dinner. For days when you are feeling more energetic, climb the steep, cobbled, rue Jerzual, lined with medieval houses ablaze with geraniums. This leads up into the heart of old Dinan, where there are yet more medieval treasures to discover.

About the location

Dinan is a captivating town. The old centre is small enough to explore on foot but with plenty to provide interest and it is a rare visitor who does not return time and again.

Though it may look like a film set, Dinan is not just a tourist attraction. It is a vibrant town where people live and work throughout the year. The market is held on Thursday morning - be sure to visit early to take your pick of the wonderful local produce. During the summer there are many small events and attractions and every two years the town stages its well known Fête des Remparts, one of the biggest medieval festivals in Europe, when Dinan returns to the Middle Ages with a medieval market, jousting tournament and mock battles. You too can hire a medieval costume and really enter into the spirit.

• Take a boat trip from Dinan port to St Malo to enjoy the stunning riverside scenery
• Explore the walled city of St Malo where pirates and explorers once sailed from
• Visit the casino & film festival (September) at the 'Belle Epoque' resort of Dinard
• Eat oysters fresh from the sea at Cancale
• Climb to the top of Mont St Michel – one of the wonders of the western world
• Sun yourself on any of the clean sandy beaches from St Malo or Dinard along to Pleneuf Val André

How to get here

The nearest ferry port is St Malo, just 30 minutes drive. Cherbourg and Caen are 2-3 hours drive. Ryanair fly daily to Dinard airport, Pleurtuit, 25 minutes drive.
