Just an hours drive from Geneva in the Haute Savoie region of the French Alps lays Drouzin Le Mont. This family resort has 14 ski runs and is ideal for all skiing abilities.

Two ski lifts are directly opposite the apartment and with runs ranging from green to red the resort is especially suitable to families with young children. The apartment is situated on the top floor and has fabulous views of the local pistes. A Pizzeria and small supermarket are open in peak season, and there is also a traditional bar/restaurant with daily fresh baked bread that is open throughout the year.

The apartment is near Morzine, Avoriaz and Les Gets. When leaving the resort, either direction will take you to the Portes du soleil ski system one side and The Alpine villages in the Abondance Valley on the other.

Accommodation detail

The accommodation is on the top floor of the 2nd block and comprises:

Lower Level

• Kitchen area - fully equipped with fridge, microwave, 4 ring electric hob, small oven/grill, dishwasher.
• Living area - large corner sofa facing the balcony, with great view of the piste.
• Dining - table, 4 chairs, but could comfortably seat eight.
• Bedroom 1 - large double bed, patio doors onto balcony.
• Bedroom 2 - Victorian double bed, fitted wardrobes.
• Bathroom - wash basin, bath, shower, shaver point.
• Separate WC.

Upper Level

• Bathroom - shower, wash basin , wc, shaver point.
• Bedroom 3 - double sofa bed, fitted wardrobes, julliet balcony over looking pistes.
• Bedroom 4 - double sofabed and 2 single beds, fitted wardrobes, velux window with views onto mountains.

The owner provides 3 double duvets, 2 single duvets and 8 pillows. Bed linen and towels may be hired. If you need these please enquire.

You will need to bring duvet covers, pillow cases, double sheets, single sheets. towels and tea towels.

Useful Information

The ski locker is on the ground floor opposite the post boxes, skis and boots should be left there as they are not allowed in the lift.

You can get to the top floor apartment by either stairs or lift.

The ski hire shop is directly underneath the apartment, the ski school (ESF), opposite offers very good rates and you can pre book lessons.

Car parking is available opposite the apartment which is free of charge.

About the location

For variation Drouzin le mont is only 10km from Morzine and with its link to Avoriaz - the snow sure centre of the Portes du Soleil ski area. The Portes du Soleil is the largest area of linked skiing in the world covering 12 French and Swiss resorts with no borders. One lift pass covers 650km of skiing including La Grande Terche. Included in the ski pass is a regular free navette bus service from La Grande Terche.

Morzine town is very much the "chic capital" of the Portes du Soleil but still retains its distinctive alpine charm. There is a wide variety of shops, restaurants, bars and banks. There is also a covered ice rink at the local sports centre, Le Palais de Sports, as well as a thriving Wednesday morning market which sells everything from fresh food produce to bric-a-brac.

Les Gets is also within easy reach and is a popular ski station in its own right, whilst for the more adventurous Chamonix is only 90 minutes drive from your apartment. If you want to take a break from skiing, the beauty of Geneva, Evian les Bains and other towns on Lac Leman are about an hour's drive away.
