La Mirabelle is a 5 bedroom (sleeps up to 13) detached villa, just minutes from sandy beaches.

It offers excellent accommodation including projector home cinema, huge motorised screen, UK TV,  Wii console with great interactive famiy games, X-box 360 with 'Kinect' sensor and Dance Central supplied, internet access, 'Bose' iPod docking station, out-door play area with swings/slide & table tennis, swing ball, badminton/volleyball net, plus an indoor TV/play room stacked with toys, games, books for all ages and over 100 family/children films to enjoy. 

La Mirabelle boasts a wonderful 10 x 5m heated, fenced and private swimming pool, a separate children's pool ...... best of all the villa is only a 10 minutes drive from the wonderful sandy 'blue flag' beaches, forest walks and great cycle paths all on the Vendee Coast

We specifically cater for families with children by supplying everything you should need. We have an extensive library of books, lots of children’s board games & toys from dressing up clothes to train sets, building blocks, puzzles, baby toys and a wonderful dolls house.

For families travelling with young babies we supply, a steriliser, bottle warmer, food blender, a travel cot, black out blinds, changing mat, baby bath, high chair, push chair, bouncy chair plus lots of baby toys.

Only approximately 1 hour from La Rochelle and Nantes and a 3 1/2 hour drive from St Malo, La Mirabelle makes for the perfect getaway for those wanting a quick, easy trip to sandy beaches and sunshine.

The famous Vendee coast - referred to locally as the Côte-de-Lumpier (Coast of Light) has fantastic child friendly sandy beaches, stretching along 13km of which 8km face directly south. The beach at La-Tranche-sur-Mer is approved as a "Kids' Station", which means it is a safe environment for children to play in.

The swimming pool conforms to the French safety law - it has both a safety fence and child's lockable safety gate with extra security in the way of a padlock. The separate childrens pool is within the secured fenced area and not able to be accessed unless with parent supervision.

The main pool has been designed and built with childrens enjoyment in mind, the shallow end of the pool has large steps which have been made wider than normal - one is a metre wide which makes an ideal area for young babies and toddlers to play in. The shallow end is only 1.05m deep (i.e. shallower than normal), so young children can stand and play in the water easily. The shallow end then gradually slopes down to a depth of 1.55m allowing most adults to stand.

The pool is an ideal depth and size for that all important water sports competition too or for the more energetic morning swimmers. The large decked area around the pool has lots of sunbathing and relaxing areas.

The pool area is surrounded by decking and grassed area with plenty of sunloungers for sunbathing where the whole family can relax and enjoy themselves.  The large heated private swimming pool measures 10m x 5m with the childrens pool next to it. The whole pool area is within a fully enclosed walled area only accessible by lockable gates (which the parents have the keys for!)

In the garden the kids will just love the children’s play area with swings, slide, sandpit (buckets & spades provided),  table tennis, swing ball and volleyball / badminton net with rackets supplied. You will also be delighted with the large chimney style barbecue which cooks food to perfection! Overlooking the gardens, there is a decked area leading from the patio doors with a motorised awning for dining outside.

There is ample parking and secure electronic gates at the front of the property.

La Mirabelle is all on one level & makes the perfect villa for families sharing due to the centrally located living area. 2 bedrooms & bathrooms are on one side & 3 bedrooms & bathroom the other - so lots of privacy & space. The play room is on the mezzanine which has a stair gate.

The sitting room and kitchen has double height ceilings (around 15ft), so when you walk in, you are immediately impressed with the spaciousness of this villa.  The sitting room has 3 metre patio doors which conceal into the wall space enhancing the indoor/outdoor living experience.  The doors slip away effortlessly enabling you to enjoy the views of the south facing gardens, terrace and pool area. 

The sitting room has a projector home cinema TV which is equipped with UK TV, displayed on a huge motorised screen, so you never have to miss your favourite programme. Also enjoy the Wii console and X-Box 360 (with Kinect sensor) with great interactive games supplied for the whole family to have fun with, particularly great on the 'big screen!'

Relax in one of the two leather sofas and enjoy the 'home cinema' experience, or just relax with a glass of wine and a good book (a huge library of excellent English books supplied including fiction, classic novels, biography & thrillers!), or plug in your iPod to the wonderful quality 'Bose' MP3 player and listen to your favourite artist!  Don't forget about all the magazines supplied for some easy reading whilst laying in the sun including favourites like Homes & Gardens, Country Living, 25 Beautiful Homes, Marie Claire plus Hello, OK and Heat to name but a few.

Not to be missed by the whole family is the huge selection (over 100) family/children's classic DVD's & Videos by Disney, Warner Bros, Fox & Universal plus many many more.

Just for the kids - The older kids will love the Wii console with family interactive games as well as the X-Box 360 with 'Kinect' sensor and Dance Acadamy plus other great family games. The little ones will love the toys, games & dressing up clothes and be delighted to find so many games and toys for them to enjoy.

And for the grown-ups - Piece of mind that the kids are entertained in a safe, fun environment, baby-sitting and maid service available to really help you have the holiday you deserve, projector home cinema with UK channels for you to enjoy when they are tucked up in bed, Jacuzzi baths for you to relax in (we also supply the bubbles!) Excellent for planning your days out and a great read over a glass of wine!

The superbly appointed kitchen has been meticulously furnished and equipped with a large 5 burner range cooker (always easier when cooking for large numbers), Nespresso coffee machine, two dishwashers, washing machine, microwave, and two large kitchen tables with seating for up to 14 guests where you can enjoy your freshly baked croissants! Lots of large serving dishes, crockery and cutlery are provided, so there will be no shortage when cooking a large family meal.

It's the little things that will make this a holiday to remember......

• Baking fun - In your holiday home you will also find child friendly, colourful and fun baking equipment so the kids can really have some fun on holiday making a mess! Mixing bowl, spatulas, wooden spoons, teddy silicone mould, whisk, cookie cutters, chocolate moulds plus rolling pin all ready and waiting for the whole family to enjoy.  Choose your favourite cupcake from one of the many wonderful recipes supplied (including cappuccino, crème brulee and lemon chiffon) in an easy to follow recipe binder which we are sure the kids, and of course the parents, will love!  We also supply fun, easy-to-follow, baby & toddler recipes so the older children can help mum and dad cook for the little ones.

• Kids gardening equipment - Let the kids have fun planting their own seeds at the kitchen table - you will find various gardening equipment including plastic trowel, fork, cultivator and an elephant watering can plus seeds (sunflower, poppy and cress for example) potting crates and soil so the kids can spend the afternoon having fun.  Let the kids take their wonderful creations home with them and watch the excitement on the kids' faces when their flowers start to grow, reminding them of a great holiday! 

• Colouring corner- Kids can relax in the evening and enjoy colouring and drawing - 'Best Friends doodles' express the joy of friendship with it's cool pictures to create, colour and complete.  Plus wonderful big busy work sheets with puzzles, mazes, searches, spot the difference, doodling, drawing and colouring.  All colouring pencils included so the kids can have creative relaxing time enjoying drawing the best parts of their holiday!

Those little extras- La Mirbelle is a self catering holiday home so you will need to bring/buy basic essentials.  However to make things a little easier for your arrival you will find, complimentary, a small supply of essentials including tea, coffee, sugar, washing-up liquid, dish-cloths, dish washer tablets, bin bags, kitchen foil, cling-film and toilet rolls.

We have also catered for the little ones too with child-friendly crockery & cutlery, a baby-bottle warmer, hand food blender, black out blinds, a microwavable bottle steriliser, a high chair and a pushchair (all included in the price).

Additional equipment can be hired such as high chairs & travel cots if more than one baby is in your party

La Mirabelle has five bedrooms: 2 doubles, 1 twin, 1 triple with bunk bed & single bed & 1 quadruple with two sets of bunk beds. If there are more than four adults in a party, the twin bedroom can be made into a large double benefiting from its own en-suite shower room.

Both master bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms which can also be accessed from the children's bedrooms (known as Jack & Jill bathrooms). Both bathrooms have Jacuzzi baths with over shower units. One also has the added benefit of a separate shower cubicle with multi-jets. Both bathrooms have beautiful glass double hand basins.

Freshly pressed 100% cotton bed linen is supplied for each guest submitted on the booking form and all beds are made up for your arrival.  We also supply all hand/bath towels for all guests. In addition, you can hire large 100% cotton towels for the beach/pool (saves that bit of extra room in the case!) We also offer daily maid service (at a supplement) so your beds can be ready for you to slip into after a hard day at the beach or round the pool!

In the sitting room you will find a helpful folder with lists of local restaurants, both child-friendly and 'just for the grown-ups', a list of Top 10 activities to do with the kids, plus maps of the area, best beaches to visit, plus much more. Excellent for planning your days out and a great read over a glass of wine!

TV/play room

The kids will just love this space (half height ceilings so a great kids 'den') to play in. It is stuffed with toys, from train sets to building blocks, dolls house, dressing up clothes and shoes, to games and puzzles, plus many books and kids favouite films and much more. There are two large comfortable sofas with UK TV access, plus a video & DVD player. It has a safety gate for the little ones, so a nice safe relaxing place just for the kids to enjoy!

• Taxi service - Due to the strict levels of drinking and driving laws in France and the abundance of local police officers monitoring all drivers, we also offer a taxi service to and from restaurants, beaches and local attractions so a nice enjoyable day or evening out can be had by everyone. • Early check in - Do you want to be laying by the pool by 2pm on the day of your arrival? Then take advantage of our early check in programme. Your villa will be put on priority listings with the cleaners so it will be the first villa to be ready that day. 

• Homemade Arrival Meals - Why not have your first night's meal all ready for you in the fridge so all you need to do, is heat it up et voila!

•  Towel hire - All our beach/pool towels are 100% cotton and large! It does mean there is that added bonus of having that bit of extra space in the car on the way home for those bottles of wine!!   Please note - hand towels and bath towels are supplied at the property. 

• Additional linen – Would you like to take advantage of our linen service?  We can supply new linen (all bedding and towels) mid way through your holiday.  The existing linen will need to be ready for collection on the delivery day morning(Saturday/Sunday for two week lets and a Wednesday for one week lets) and left in the bags supplied.

• Cleaning – We are able to offer daily maid service (subject to availability for Saturday's and Sundays)  if you really want some time to relax. If you would like to take advantage of this service, please let us know asap as this service is in high demand and is subject to availability.

About St Benoist Sur Mer in Vendée, Pays de La Loire

La Mirabelle is just a 5 minute drive to the wonderful village of Angles, which has a large street market on both Wednesday and Sunday mornings in the summer months - an excellent opportunity to sample much of the locally produced food, including cheese, meat, fish and wine.

In the summer months Angles organises special events in the square including fun days, evening entertainers, jazz and blues nights, firework displays and night markets. You can sit with the locals and enjoy 'moules & frites' listening to a band watching the kids dance to their hearts content.

Located so close to the village of Angles, you can either take a short drive in the morning to pick up your fresh baguette and croissants, (or have them delivered each morning!) or visit in the evenings for a choice of great restaurants.

Angles has its own Office de Tourisme, as well as a post office, two banks, a hairdresser, a beauty salon, an aromatherapist, a pharmacy, five cafés/bars and four restaurants. There are also two supermarkets, two butchers, a fishmonger and a fruit & vegetable shop.

The large fishing port of l'Aiguillon is just 10 minutes away. Early risers can choose from a range of freshly-caught fish, mussels, oysters, langoustine and gambas at the town's fish market which is open every weekday at 5am. Those who prefer a lie-in can sample the seafood later in the day at one of the many wonderful fish restaurants in the town.

La Rochelle – Aquarium
Both children and adults will enjoy La Rochelle's wonderful Aquarium, which boasts 10,000 specimens from the Atlantic, the Mediterranean and the tropics. With three million liters of water and 64 different aquariums, you are bound to see Nemo!

Indian Forest Adventure
Marked trails in the forest up to 20ft high give you up to 122 different challenges. You are suspended by safety harnesses and are able to climb, swing, dismount and even slide across the forest. Great area for toddlers too, with themed bouncy castles, ball park, rock climbing, inflatable park, trampolines, swings, slides, ropes and pony rides to name but a few! Excellent day out for the children and for adults and only 5 minutes away, Great fun and highly recommended.

Marais Poitevin
Explore its miles of waterways from a barque, canoe or kayak and discover all the local wildlife - from otters to osprey. A wonderful experience to discover the wildlife in this area.

Futuroscope Theme Park
An absolute must. Futuroscope offers you the chance to take part in an original experience and become part of one of the legendary scenes in cinema history. The park has 60 hectares of leisure space for everyone to enjoy, with street theatre, exhibitions, relaxation areas, games, and more, to give you the perfect, fun-filled outing. Just one example of the wonderful activities on offer is the 3D space adventures where you will experience alongside the astronauts and cosmonauts the elating sensation of floating in mid-air 407 km above the Earth, the guaranteed thrills of an excursion in space and the daily challenges of life in orbit. A wonderful experience and something for everyone.

Puy du Fou Grand Park
Puy du Fou is where time stands still, you'll see villages from different eras, gladiators still doing battle and Vikings launching attacks on fortified castles! In the summer, there are 28 evening/night shows with 300 fireworks per show, 2000 digitally-controlled projectors, 1500 computerised fountains, 4500 costumes and many more special effects. There are minstrels in the heart of the woods and master falconers in the meadows. This huge area covering 40 hectares will be an instant hit with children and adults alike.

Golf Courses in the Vendee
Use your time with us to experience playing on a variety of courses, even on the same day. This is a great way of discovering courses in Western France. A '10 green-fee package' offers you play without membership and as often as you like.
