La Daliniere is situated in the beautiful 'Suisse Normande' area of Normandy. This traditional stone cottage was originally a farmhouse and has been classified as a Belle Maison. It has been lovingly restored and still retains many rustic features.

Locally there are shops, bars and restaurants within 2 km of the property at Clecy; supermarkets may be found in the nearby towns of Conde sur Noireau and Thury Harcourt.

The house benefits from electric central heating.

Outside there is a pretty garden which features an old cider press. Garden furniture and barbeque are provided.

The house is looked after by a French family who reside locally.

About the location

Normandy is famous for the D-Day landings on its long beaches and for its busy Channel ports and elegant resorts.La Daliniere is located in the beautiful Suisse Normande area of Normandy.

The nearest town (2km) is the pretty town of Clecy where there are restaurants and quality shops - small supermarket,  patisserie and butcher. There is also a tourism office during the season. Conde Sur Noireau (10km) and Thury Harcourt (12km) are much larger towns with all the usual facilities and a weekly market. There are other markets on each day of the week at different, easily accessible  locations.

On the river at Le Vey and Pont D'Ouilly there are  a wide selection of restaurants, and there are pedalos and canoes for having fun on the water. Canoes for longer trips (2 hours or 4 hours) down the river through stunning countryside are also available.

Excellent beaches are to be found within  easy driving distance, and there are swimming pools at Conde sur Noireau and Thury Harcourt. Restaurants abound as you would expect to satisfy all tastes and ages.

How to get here

La Daliniere is 2km from the town of Clecy, less than an hour's drive from the Caen (Ouistreham) ferry port and Cherbourg is approximately 2 hours drive away.

• Payment is accepted in Euros drawn on a French account, or sterling drawn on a UK bank account.
• Weekends £175
• Cheques payable to Kenilwade Ltd please
• The house is available from 4pm on the first day of booking until 10.00am on the final day of the booking period.
• To preserve the freshness of the house, smoking only please in the grounds.
• Duvet covers, towels, pillow-cases can be provided at a little supplement.
