'Balinghem Farm' is a place for everyone, well thought out, large bedrooms, a kitchen to eat in, a salon to relax in and a bathroom to pamper yourself. A weekend away can help you to de-stress, a week away and there is plenty to do and see. .

The owners have recreated a home where old meets new, where the traditional farmhouse greets modern loft living. A wonderful mixture of the romance of France and the urban standards of today. There are no sterile blank rooms in the house. Each area has been treated and updated keeping the old structures and features and modernizing where necessary. Here you can experience the France you seek. Traditional farmhouse living, antique floors and limewashed walls combines with high tech bathrooms, modern furniture and central heating.

Balinghem Farm has a designer style interior with a country chic Farmhouse kitchen with massive oak table and Aga. There is a private and spacious master bedroom, an enormous paneled lounge, UK TV in lounge and bedrooms and a luxury bathroom with sunken double bath and hydro massage shower.

• Kitchen/dining room - original exposed oak ceiling and beams and a beautiful antique tiled floor. A fully functioning wood burning range cooker, easy to use and a fantastic source of comfort on winter nights. This is a specialised form of cooking and only advisable for those who are used to a similar method at home. There is an oak dining table (seats 6/7) and an oak staircase leading upstairs. A modern electric/gas hob cooker is also in the kitchen for an easier style of cooking along with a microwave. Toaster and kettle are supplied and the kitchen is fully equipped with pans and dinner service etc. Any special requests for food preparation and cooking equipment are welcome.
• Master bedroom - this is an enormous room (18 ft x 10ft) has an iron
• double bed, exposed beams. Hollowfill Anti-allergy and anti-fungal duvets and pillows are provided along with natural cotton unbleached covers. There is ample room to fit an extra bed for a young child if required and still have plenty of room.
• Two double bedrooms - with Single beds that can be placed together for doubles.. There are plugs and bedside lights in these rooms. Hollow fill Anti-allergy and anti-fungal duvets and pillows are provided.
• Bathroom and toilet - are located downstairs. Solid teak floors. The cloakroom/toilet area has a mirror and the toilet is on the opposite side. Through a glass door the bathroom has a double shower with a totem style hydromassage unit, a large sunken bath and a stainless steel/glass pedestal basin.
• Laundry area - This is available via the main house.  The washing  machine is  there for guests staying more than one week.  During the summer guests can airdry their laundry in the courtyard, and in the winter the tumble dryer is available.

Outside

Relax and have a barbecue outside in the private garden area to the front of the house.

Balinghem Farm is half a mile from the lakeside, one mile from a forest, one and a half miles from a medieval town and 20 minutes drive from a sandy beach.

Road Noise? What road noise! The occasional cow maybe, but you can rely upon the cockerel in the morning!
