Maison de Maître with Breathtaking Views

A warm welcome to Chateau Nineyrol.

Nineyrol offers luxury accommodation in the heart of the Dordogne valley, just minutes from the mediaeval town of Sarlat and the beautiful villages of La Roque Gageac and Beynac.

This elegant old Maison de Maître, with its piano nobile, provides a cool haven during those long, hot summer days. Tall shuttered windows bathe each room with light and provide breathtaking south-facing views. Central heating for the winter and woodburning stoves keep the house comfortable and cosy. The parking is private and shaded.

Our change over day is Friday, so that you never miss the Saturday market and have quiet roads for your journey.

Holiday Accommodation at Chateau Nineyrol

  • The spacious sitting room has French doors to the covered belvedere. Through then to the  south- facing dining terrace. Comfortable upholstered furniture, TV, DVD, and a wood-burning stove for those cooler evenings in the early spring and late autumn. (logs included). Ipod speakers.
  • The dining room also faces south and comfortably seats ten The oriental theme gives an interesting and relaxed ambiance for indoor meals. The games cupboard contains a selection of games 'just in case'...
  • The kitchen, with its unique vaulted mediaeval ceiling, is fully equipped with gas hob and fan assisted oven, fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher. In the cupboards you will find a full range of culinary equipment, fine china and glasses.
  • 5 comfortable en suite bedrooms, individually furnished in country house style and contain a mixture of English and French antiques. Three of the rooms have stunning south-facing views across the verdant Dordogne valley.

For your comfort, all the bedrooms have ceiling fans and modern en-suite facilities - two with bath and shower and two with walk in showers. Robes, towels, face cloths and bath mats are included, as is the crisp, white bed linen. The beds will be freshly made for your arrival.

Outside, The huge covered belvedere, with a large table and dining chairs has its own ceiling fan and room to party!  This opens on to the top terrace, easily accessed from the kitchen and sitting room. Equiped with  dining furniture, barbeque and candle holders. This is the perfect place to stargaze on those balmy summer evenings.

An ancient vine-edged staircase leads you down to the exclusive swimming pool, set in a sunny terrace, flanked by fragrant flower beds, lawns and vines, with unique panoramic vistas over the Valley of the Five Châteaux.

Along with ample pool furniture for all, a fridge for refreshing poolside drinks, a WC and washbasin are conveniently located close to the pool terrace. For total peace of mind, the owners maintain the pool and provide pool towels free of charge.

About Beynac Et Cazenac in Dordogne, Aquitaine

The nearest village, Castelnaud la Chappelle, has a wonderful bakery the best in the area, post office, butchers, grocers restaurant bar and pizzeria. All are about 10 minutes walk across the Dordogne river bridge.

Please note the garden terraces are linked by a number of stone staircases and are finished by low walls installed when the house was built in 1868. This gives us the feeling that it really is not the place for very young children, but it is at your discretion.

Additional price information

  • House rental starts on Friday at 16.30 o'clock, and finishes on Friday at 10.00 o'clock.
  • A welcome pack containing some of the necessities of life, like fine wine, tea, coffee, sugar, milk etc, will await you on your arrival.

  • In addition, your first night meal can be prepared for you to just serve and enjoy. We also have a French chef who can come and cook in the house. Please ask for prices and menus.

Bike hire will need to be arranged well in advance especially in High season. We also have an English speaking guide who can provide tours for your group.

Want to Marry in France? We are experienced at arranging everything for your special day.

PRICING NOTE; We offer a different rate for small groups who would like to stay in our house out of high season. Please contact us for more details.
