Villa Le Mas lies in a secluded valley in the Plaine des Maures, a national park in the Chataigne Hills and is surrounded by its own 24 hectares of working vineyards, complete with stunning views as far as the Alpes Maritime. The villa has been lovingly restored over many years to reflect its Provencal heritage. Beyond the vines there are extensive woodlands, home of the "Tortes des Maures'', the protected little tortoises.

Villa Le Mas is the perfect setting for a relaxed secluded holiday. With excellent walks and views, whether you are looking for an idyllic retreat to write or paint, or to spend your holiday with friends and family, the informal atmosphere of Le Mas is unforgettable.

The exclusive - private swimming pool is children and user friendly.

We have a mosquito free environment.

Accommodation detail

Villa Le Mas can sleep 13 comfortably, plus 2 cots for babies. The house is tiled throughout in the Provencal style and is fully central heated.

Ground Floor:

• Kitchen - professionally designed, complete with a large oven, dishwasher, washing machine and a commercial ice machine.
• Drawing/dining room - complete with open fire, ideal for cooler nights and a grand piano, opens out onto the dining room and terrace, which stretches the length of the house. There is English satellite TV and DVD. Internet access is also available.

First Floor

• Bedroom 1 - a master bedroom with double bed and ensuite bathroom. It has its own private terrace, with stunning uninterrupted views over the valley, breath-taking first thing in the morning.
• Bedroom 2 - second master bedroom with double bed and ensuite bathroom. This room also has its own private terrace with stunning views.

Ground Floor:

• Bedroom 3 - large room with ensuite bathroom and French windows leading directly to the swimming pool.
• Bedroom 4 - double bedroom with ensuite bathroom.
• Bedroom 5 - double bedroom with ensuite bathroom

Garden

The gardens are professionally maintained, boasting olive and cypress trees, and a brook that flows through with a charming terrace on its banks. Relax in the garden, with the fresh subtle aromas of rosemary, thyme and lavender, the very scents of Provence growing in abundance, We have recently installed a Dedicated Boule Court under lights and a Table Tennis Table in the shade of the trees.

A terrace surrounds the stunning swimming pool with sun beds and ample shade cover. The pool is heated and extends the swimming season. The pool is a protected area for your safety.

Maintenance

An English speaking couple - the Guardienes, who live on the vineyard about a 100 yards away - not in view.  They will also collect for you fresh bread and croissants etc of your choice for breakfast – you can make your arrangements directly with them. Their primary task is to ensure that your stay is as trouble-free as possible.

All Inclusive

On arrival you will find fresh flowers and provisions of croissants, baguettes, water, orange juice, ham, cheese, tea, coffee, plus a welcoming bottle of chilled local rose wine. The house is cleaned twice a week around mid-morning, towels are changed every 4 days and linen every 7 days. There is no charge for Linen or towels during your stay. The terrace, barbecue and pool are cleaned and maintained daily.

About the location

You will find the Guardienes are a "Mine of Information" for most things you will want and places to go.

The unspoilt picturesque towns of - La Garde Freinet (15mins) - Grimaud (20 Mins) - St Maxime (25mins) - are home to thriving artistic communities, with restaurants and antipasti galore.

Vidauban, a bustling Provencal market town, is the nearest main shopping centre only 9km away.

The Mediterranean coastline is less than 35 minutes away, the sophisticated St Tropez (35 minutes), Port Grimaud (25 minutes), and the internationally renowned Aix en Provence (60 mins) and Cannes (40 minutes) and - of course, Nice and Monte Carlo (75 minutes).

How to get here

You will be given detailed directions.

La Mas is easily accessible by car from the international airports of Nice (80kms) and Marseille (90kms). Flights from Gatwick, Heathrow, Stanstead.

It is possible to arrange a helicopter service from St Tropez, Nice and Monaco.

Additional price information

All prices are per week, Saturday to Friday.

The period covering Christmas - New Year (2 weeks) and Easter will be £2000 per week.

Long winter lets by arrangement.
