A beautifully restored Château dating from 1650 in a delightful setting. Set in beautiful rolling hills onthe edge of the Rhone Valley, the Château is truly a jewel. 

This chateau has 12 double bedrooms and sleeps up to 30. You can hire it as a unit to enjoy with your friends and family for a family reunion, wedding, anniversary and, if you want exclusive use of the whole site and its two swimming pools, you can rent the two cottages and the apartment as well.  This gives a total of 23 bedrooms, sleeping capacity of 50. Of course, you can have just the chateau, its part of the grounds and its pool.

If you just want to holiday on self-catering basis with up to 4 other families then you could consider just the cottages. In this case you get private use of your part of the grounds and your own pool.  These cottages are furnished to superior standards with charm and taste and each has its own secluded private garden with sun terrace and barbecue.

During some weeks of the year you can also stay on a bed and breakfast basis in the chateau.

The Château is very well located for a tranquil yet easy to get about (to and from) holiday in the South of France - but away from those over-crowded beaches!  It is available only to one group at a time and has a cook and housekeeper.

About the location

Château du Bijou is only 15 minutes from the A7 autoroute, an hour south of Lyon and north of Avignon, Chomérac is in the heart of the Ardeche. Its lovely climate combines relaxation with endless adventure, making it the ideal base for a family holiday.
