This delightful apartment is on the ground floor of a large private house, in a truly superb setting. Nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees, the property enjoys magnificent views of the Massif du Canigou (2784 m/9133 ft), which is snow covered for much of the year, and of the valley of the River Têt with its vineyards and peach orchards.

The apartment is spacious and airy, with a sunny, south facing aspect and is completely self-contained and private, with its own entrance and outside patio area. 

The property is situated on the edge of the village, a stone’s throw from the village centre and its amenities and a mere five minute drive to the nearby market town of Prades, with its many shops and cafes, and an open air swimming pool complex. Surrounding the property is a large garden, planted with mature trees, flowering shrubs and palms, which guests are welcome to use.

How to get here

• Ryanair has direct flights from London Stansted to Perpignan (45 minutes drive). There are also daily flights from Paris Orly to Perpignan and, in the summer season, flights from Birmingham and Southampton to Perpignan with FlyBe. 
• Ryanair also flies to Carcassonne and Gerona (both approximately 1.5 hours drive), the former from London Stansted and the latter from both London Stansted and London Luton as well as several regional airports. Several other airlines, including Easijet, also fly to Gerona. Barcelona (approximately 2.5 hours drive) is served by several major airlines in Europe and elsewhere.
• By road, it is approximately 12 hours drive from the Channel ports of Calais and Boulogne. 
• Alternatively, for a more relaxing journey, you can put your car on the train as far as Narbonne, which is only 1 hour’s drive from the property.
• Perpignan has an international train station (described by Salvador Dali as “the Centre of the Universe”!) and there are several trains and buses a day between Perpignan and Prades.
• A minibus service runs between Prades and Catllar. 
• Taxis are available at Perpignan and a taxi between Prades and Catllar can be arranged on request.
