This pretty holiday gite is set in the beautiful region of South West France, the Dordogne Valley. 

It is within walking distance of the lovely Bastide Town of  Domme  (a tourists delight) and has stunning views over the tranquil Dordogne river.

Accommodation detail

Spacious and furnished to a very high standard, the property comprises:

• Fully equipped kitchen/diner - with pale oak fitted units, filled with all the equipment needed to make your self-catering holiday a joy not a chore. There is a fridge-freezer and the cooking is all electric. There are separate laundry facilities. The kitchen/diner leads to
• Comfortably furnished lounge - with TV/Video, double sofa-bed and French windows on to a small patio. On this floor is also
• Shower room - with shower, toilet, hand basin fitted to a good quality.

Upstairs on a mezzanine is

• Pretty double bedroom - with ample fitted wardrobes and drawers, bed linen is provided.

Outside

You will find a patio for your use with table, chairs, umbrella and a large gas barbecue.  Up some steps cut into the rock face is a secluded gardens also for your use.

About the location

The studio is within easy walking distance of the lovely Bastide town of Domme and has superb views over the valley.  There are small rivers and pretty waterfalls to explore and numerous sites of interest from above ground and below.  Balloon and small aircraft flights are within 10 minutes drive.

Canoeing on the Dordogne river (5 mins drive) is excellent fun, or you can hire bicycles if you feel energetic or you can have a relaxing round of golf at one of the many local picturesque courses (there are three within 15 mns by car).

Visit the many castles and prehistoric caves. If you like dawdling around markets then this is the place for you, as there is one somewhere locally every day of the week.

How to get here

The nearest airport is Brive, with Bergerac a short distance further.  There are railway stations in the vicinity, with the nearest mainline station in Sarlat (10 mins drive). Car hire is also available in Sarlat.
