Come and stay in the fully equipped cottages next to our charming 18^th century French manor house in the village of Eperlecques in the National Regional Park.  They are detached from the main house, and the renovations have been done in keeping with the original features, stone floors and wooden beams.

Alternatively visit us for bed and breakfast in the Manor House - a separate apartment is available for this.

A shared indoor, heated pool is open all year round with secure doors and heated pool room. Fitness machines and loungers are available around the pool. There is a large room ajacent to the pool with tables and bar for family get togethers

Eperlecques is a quiet village. Butcher's and café within easy walking distance on the church square and lots of local farms sell their produce. All the local towns have good open air markets once or twice a week. We haven't bought a supermarket chicken or eggs since coming to Eperlecques. Our neighbour grows strawberries in the summer and endives in the winter which is useful.

The accommodation is all on the ground floor and the renovation is in keeping with the original features, stone floors and wooden beams. 

The cottage has a large open plan style living room with the ceiling going right up to the roof with exposed beams and an open log fire with a cast iron inset. The lounge area has two leather sofas and armchairs, puzzles and games and is equipped with English TV with excellent reception. The dining area has a table for up to 8 and chairs. The kitchen has been fitted into one end of the main room and has all the necessary for your stay cooker with oven, good quality clothes washing machine, fridge, electric kettle and toaster etc... There are lots of glasses, plates, pots and pans, iron & board etc

A corridor leads to the two spacious bedrooms. One double with an additional single and one twin with another bed optional. The double has its own en suite shower room and wc. The twin bedroom has enough space to add an extra bed and we can provide a cot at no extra cost. The beds have hollow-fill fibre duvets and stone floors to avoid allergies to carpets and feathers. Both bedrooms have hanging space and chests of drawers. A separate shower room and WC are adjacent for the twin bedroom or those who might be using a convertible in the lounge. 

French doors give out to a private patio with barbecue and garden and separate car parking is at one end of the cottage. A large private lawn accommodates a badminton court which overlooks a large field with horses grazing. 

The cottage has oil fired central heating which is included in the price and it has an open fire and is suitable for summer or winter lets. A huge basket of wood is provided on arrival for the log fire.

Bed linen is included. We can provide towels for guests coming from far afield. Combined with the other cottage opposite two or three families can make the most of holidaying together. 

A buffet dinner for guests served in the cottage is popular too. A barbecue, garden furniture, badminton court, ping pong table, shared indoor heated swimming pool with fully secured doors are for your use and there is a large orchard - lawn for children to play with a swing. Cots and high chair can be supplied at no extra charge. This cottage is toddler friendly, all on ground floor.

Table d'hôte is available on request with a choice of menus depending on the seasons. Or a buffet can be served in the cottage if you're feeling lazy.

About the location

The village is ideally situated for summer holidays or short breaks. We are within 25 minutes of Calais or Boulogne limiting travelling this side of the Channel. The village itself has all the necessary services, a supermarket, bakery, butcher's, farm produce and several cafés. Saint Omer or Ardres, our local market towns are 10 minutes away and both have a great choice of restaurants.

For the active holiday, boating on the local waterways, sailing, windsurfing or sand yachting on the fabulous sandy beaches which are easy to get to. Ardres has a good sized lake with pedalos and rowing boats. There are several golf courses nearby, notably St Omer and Le Touquet or Hardelot. A tennis court can be hired in the village for 20 Frs an hour. Horse riding in the local forest 5 minutes away.

An excellent base for visiting the local war museums, a day trip to Bruges, Paris or to one of the many theme parks in Northern France.
