Home description

Come and enjoy the tranquility of Normandy. Renovated to a high standard while retaining their original features these three delightful properties are a 'cour de ferme' which also includes the original bakehouse and an open-sided tiled building for outdoor dining. Set in approximately two acres, the grounds are landscaped with trees and shrubs with a croquet lawn, a pond and stream with a Japanese-style bridge over. The views from the property are of farmland and apple orchards.

The local village, with all essential amenities, is 2 km away. The historic towns of Domfront and Mortain (all facilities) are 12 km away. The accommodation may be let separately but is also ideal for friends or families who wish to holiday together whilst retaining a certain degree of independence. Each property has gas central heating for year-round letting.

The local English caretaker will cater for welcome dinners, lunches, picnics, etc. on request.  Kindly note no pets please.

This newly-restored farmhouse provides peace and tranquility and, although situated close to the barn and cider press, privacy is provided by the extensive, gently sloping lawn area to the rear of the property. The interior is a stylish mix of French country furniture and late arts & crafts with modern touches and provides an excellent level of comfort, making this property an ideal choice for a summer or winter let.

This area is famous for its cider, poire and Calvados - the apple and pear orchards are delightful in the spring. La Maison de la Pomme et la Poire, 2 kms away, has a collection of fruit trees and cider presses and offers tastings.

How to get here
