Property description

Push open the French shutters and let the sun stream into your bedroom. Go back to bed for 10 minutes while you listen to the sounds of the French village. Then walk down to the Boulangerie to get your hot baguette and warm croissants.

Shops, bakery and butcher are in the neighbourhood, and a supermarket is within 5 min by car.
Several beaches are 15 min away; La Franqui and Gruissan are well known 'spots' for windsurfers.

The village of Portel is surrounded by vineyards and there is a communal cellar with several private cellars producing a typical Corbieres red wine and as well a sweet Muscate and Rosé.

The Corbieres mountains are marvellous for trekking and the whole area is full of historical sites: old castles, abbeys and churches, archeological sites of Roman periods and older.
Interesting towns like Perpignan or Narbonne are close and inviting for shopping or good restaurants.

Airport and high speed train station are 25 km away and it is 50km to the Spanish border.

During the absence of the owners there is a good possibility to recover some costs by letting the house for vacation from May untill October.

Ground floor

  • Kitchen / living room - the kitchen is open and located in the rear just behind the stairs.

First floor

  • 1 double bedroom
  • Shower Room and toilet

Second floor

  • 1 double bedroom
  • 1 bedroom - with four bunk beds

Third floor

  • Spare room
  • Roof terrace - with a summer kitchen, the roof covering half of it. This terrace is oriented to the southwest 

All other openings are towards northeast.

The house can sleep 4 adults and 4 children comfortably! If needed 2 more persons can sleep in the upper room by the terrace.
