Two bedroom cottage believed to date from 1874 standing on the bank of the river Lot about 35mins drive east from Cahors, in the sleepy hamlet of Cregols.
The village lies at the foot of the ‘causses’ about 5km from ‘one of the most beautiful villages in France’. The spectacular village of St Cirq Lapopie which hangs from the cliffs above offers restaurants, shops and the most breathtaking views of the Lot valley. It was once the home of the local blacksmith and the old forge, although now requiring restoration, is still there.
The building housing the forge could be restored creating additional accommodation on two levels. There is also a courtyard adjacent to the house with carport and terrace above. The location would suit keen anglers as well as cyclists, walkers and those seek peace and tranquility. Sightseers would also find plenty to do.
