The Area
The village is 10 minutes from the beautiful bastide market town of Mirepoix with all facilites and shops together with more restaurants than one can visit in a week. Market day is Mondays. Lac montbel a 20 minute drive, provides swimming and water sports. The Mediterranean is 1 hours drive as are the ski resorts of Bonascre and Mont D'olmes in the Pyrenees. The Canal du Midi can be easily reached should you wish to hire a boat and cruise down to Beziers or Narbonne. There are fantastic beaches south of Perpignan and for those wishing to cross over into Spain, Barcelona is only a 3 1/2 hour drive.
