Le Grand Bois, a restored, spacious Charentais farmhouse with attached barn and stable (empty except for the pool equipment!), has thick, stone walls, exposed beams and shuttered windows.
Come and enjoy southwest France, often described as "authentic" France.
There is something for all tastes and interests: market towns, family farms with small, paved farm roads ideal for walking and cycling, beautiful beaches, cultural and artistic sites and festivals.
Try the wonderful fresh fish, local melons, "La Galette Saintongeaise", pineau de Charente, the local cognac and the wines of Bordeaux and Saint Emilion. Visit museums, lovely Romanesque churches such as the cliffside church at Talmont surrounded by blooming hollyhocks, the cliffside cave dwellings at Meschers, walled Blaye on the Gironde Estuary, thermal baths and water park at nearby Jonzac, the Abbaye-aux-Dames at Saintes, and Mirambeau's own Renaissance Chateau, now a starred hotel and restaurant.
See fields of glowing sunflowers, smell beds of purple lavender and view miles of vineyards throughout the countryside. On hot summer days, swim in our pool or try the beaches at Meschers, St. Georges de Didonne, or the Cote Sauvage north of Royan.

The farmhouse is secluded from the other three properties in the hamlet. Both the front and rear look out over farmland.
Ground Floor

- A back kitchen, each of which is 6.5m x 6.5m.
- Two bathrooms, one with two washbasins, a toilet, a bath and a separate shower; the second has a washbasin and toilet.

The First Floor
