Location: 5 kilometres (3 miles) from Geneva City Centre
Public Transport:
  • Taxi: Can be pre-booked (+33 141 33), the journey time from Geneva centre to the airport is around 15 minutes
  • Train: There are 3 or 4 trains an hour from Geneva Airport station to Geneva town centre, the journey time is about 7 minutes. The airport rail station is close to the terminal and you can walk from the Arrivals and Departures, you just need to follow the signs.
  • Bus: There are a number of bus services from Genva Airport to Geneva. Bus stops are located on Arrivals and Departures levels.
  • Aero Ski bus: Connects French ski resorts to the airport, you can get more informations at the "Acceuil France" counter in the French sector of the Airport
  • Aero-Express Geneva: It is a shuttle coach service which links the airport to Grenoble, Chambery and Lyon. You need to reserve in advance.

More than 60 airlines depart from the airport which has more than 80 destinations.

The main Swiss sector of the airport is accessible from the N1 airport motorway. From France, take the A40 (motorway) to the border and then the N1. 

To avoid Swiss territory entirely: drive directly to the French sector via Ferney-Voltaire, near Collonges on the D-984; at Ferney-Voltaire, follow the signs for Geneva and, just before Swiss customs, take the road on the right to the airport French sector.
