The region is rich in apricots, peaches and walnuts and offers many culinary delights.
There are plenty of beautiful old streets and buildings to admire, and its region has two gastronomic specialities, pogne which is a ringed spongy bread flavoured with Orange water and ravioles which are cornflour-based ravioli with an eggy, cheesy, buttery filling.
The town boasts an international museum of shoes! The Musée Internationale de la Chaussure is in the former Convent of the Visitation. The museum will surprise you with the extent women have suffered through their feet on every continent and still do in present day! Romans is also a good place to buy shoes, with several factory shops in the town. The museum also includes a permanent exhibition on the Resistance.
