Le Mas d'Agenais (Lot-et-Garonne)

Founded by the Romans, Le Mas d'Agenais is a picturesque little town which dominates the River Garonne and the Canal Latéral a la Garonne. It has a lovely old wooden market hall, several shops, two bars and a restaurant. Le Mas d'Agenais is famous for the fact that it has an authenticated Rembrandt altar piece hanging on a wall in the church of St. Vincent "Le Christ en Croix".
