Albertville is a former (1992) winter Olympic town, the Albertville Olympic Games were the last winter games to be staged in the same year as the summer games.  This means that there are excellent sporting facilities available.

Albertville is not a ski resort, it is a real mountain town with countryside and pure mountain air with skiing and associated activities available.  There is something for everyone.
