Caudebronde is a small medieval village, located in Aude. Its inhabitants are called the Caudebrondais and the Caudebrondaises. The commune covers 6.2 km² and is close to the communes of Cuxac-Cabardès, La Tourette-Cabardès and Mas-Cabardès, Caudebronde is located 25 km to the North-West of Carcassonne which is the nearest large city. Located at 551 metres above sea level, the River Dure, and streams of Tourette and Arfeil are the major watercourses that pass through the village. The main resources of higher Cabardès villages such as Caudebronde, came from producing vine stakes and wine containers from the local chestnut forests. It is approximately 13 km from the regional natural park of the Haut-Languedoc.

Take the A62 then A61 Autoroute following signs to Montpellier. (This is a toll road - but if you can spare the time, the N113 takes longer, but it is free) - exit at Junction 23. |
