Pont L’Eveque is both old and new and is full of charm as it is lined up with picturesque timbered houses which make it feel as if you are stepping back in time. It is also however a buzzing and favorite place to come to for the French, people come to enjoy themselves and relax there from the stress of the big cities, during weekends and for holidays all year round.

Pont L’Eveque is a small town built at the confluence of three rivers. The original town was a small village and spread in a linear fashion as people settled on either side of the Village Bridge. Everything revolved around the bridge, traffic, commerce and local markets

This is where the famous cheese "Le Pont L’Eveque" was originally produced and the town is still famous for its production of Calvados Brandy.

It has an immense and magnificent lake of 59 hectares where water activities, fishing, and sailing take place. The surrounding countryside is made up of valleys and meadows and orchids.

65% of the town was destroyed in 1944. Nonetheless Pont L’Eveque still offers to its visitors, a real treasure of architecture.

The town has plenty of restaurants, cafes, shops and leisure activities.
