The picturesque French village of Mosnac is a great base for a holiday and well-located for access to the popular resort of Royan and the historic town of Cognac, the home of brandy.

There is a fabulous restaurant called the Moulin du Val de Seugne on the outskirts of Mosnac which offers gourmet eating.
The restaurant overlooks the river and woodland beyond, where you can watch the antics of the variety of wildlife owned by the Moulin while you enjoy the incredible food. Goats, with a Billy Goat Gruff style bridge to stand on, a Shetland pony, geese and ducks are among the variety of animals to be seen.
At night the wood is illuminated with floodlights, so it's a never-ending, ever-changing tableau to look out on while you eat. Inside, the ancient mill wheel has been fully restored and you can enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif while you relax, watching the wheel go round. If you want to really treat yourself while holidaying in this area, this restaurant is highly recommended.
The village itself features basic amenities including a boulangerie and post office.
