St Just Luzac (Charente-Maritime) mini guide

St Just is a pretty little village set on the site of a Roman village. Many of the buildings are very old and are charmingly hap hazzard in their layout.

The village has a large church, chemist, butcher, 2 bolangeries, small supermarket, tennis courts, archery and shooting ranges.

There is a small grass airfield where one can do parachuting and take flying lessons.

Next to the church is a toy museum and nearby there are playing fields and a basket ball court.

Location:	St Just is six kilometers from the bridge which goes to the island of Oleron. It is about one and a half hours north of Bordeaux by motorway and fourty minutes south of the beautifull La Rochelle
Public Transport:	Trains arive at Saintes, Royan, Rochefort each of which are about 30 minutes away and La Rochelle 45 munutes away. Long distance coaches arrive at the same towns. Airports are Bordeaux, La Rochelle and Rochefort. Ryan air does some very cheap flights to La Rochelle. A10 motorway comes to Saintes.There are some local buses but not many. Car hire and Taxis are plentifull.
