The Port of Boulogne-sur-Mer is ideally situated being in the immediate vicinity of the busiest navigation channel in the world and at the junction between the Channel and the North Sea. It is a port that has a multitude of activities: premier fishing port of France; a high-performing commercial port; and a marina which is constantly expanding. The Port of Boulogne is the 1st European Centre for the transformation, commercialisation and distribution of seafood products. Each year 300 000 tons of fish are treated by the companies installed in the port.
