About the Disneyland Christmas Market

Europe's top destination, Disneyland® Resort Paris, features two theme parks (Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park), Disney Village, seven themed hotels and Golf Disneyland.

The Christmas market takes place at the Disney Village, which is lit up with a thousand fairy lights that twinkle like stars over the stalls and chalets. Stalls are laden with festive goodies and tasty culinary treats from regional producers. Tempting treats and traditional crafts are only some of the highlights of this year’s Christmas market, warmly nestled at the Disney Village entrance. Take a magical stroll along the shop-lined street and loose yourself in the cosy atmosphere of Christmas. Meet elves, stilted musicians, ‘Astrobulles’ (performers in luminous spheres), the ‘Giant Toy Brigade’ and a sleighful of other characters.

Disneyland Resort Paris and Disney Village are celebrating their fifteenth anniversary
this year as well! A variety of street shows, various DJ parties in 70's and tropical styles, concerts, karaoke nights are offered during Yuletide. Check Disney Land website for special offers.

More About Disneyland® Resort Paris

Disneyland® Resort Paris is part of a huge resort that is one-fifth the size of Paris! There are six hotels, an area of wooded campsites, restaurants, shops, golf and tennis, and night entertainment.

The theme park offers five main areas: Main Street USA featuring exhibits and rides recalling America of the early 1900's; Frontierland, a reenactment of the frontier days in the US; Adventureland which has a pirate and buried treasure theme; and Fantasyland with rides and exhibits based on Disney film characters; and Discoveryland which focuses on space exploration, rockets, and beyond earth planetary adventures.

Getting to Disneyland® Resort Paris

Suggested Travel Routes

There are several travel options available for getting to Disneyland® Resort Paris but the most common are to drive your car, or to take the train.

As a foot passenger from the UK to Disney:

By Train: you can take Eurostar direct from St Pancras International in London to Paris, in 2h 20min. Connections can also be picked up from Ashford or Ebbsfleet. Disneyland is about 32km outside of Paris. There are direct TGV connections to the Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station in the heart of Disneyland Resort Paris from over 25 cities in France. The SNCF and Disneyland Resort Paris offer packages including transportation from all of these cities. Eurostar also offer some direct services to Disneyland® Resort Paris. Book Eurostar and TGV tickets.

By Plane: Charles de Gaulle or Orly airports in Paris are the nearest ones to Disneyland and they offer good VEA shuttle service. Book cheap flights to France.

Taking your car from the UK to Disney:

By Tunnel: take your car on Eurotunnel from Folkestone, Kent direct to Calais in France. Journey time is about 35 minutes and the cost varies but is around £55 day trip return for a car and 5 passengers. Book Eurotunnel tickets.

By Boat: It is usually cheaper to take a car over to France by boat, because the journey takes longer. Operators such as Seafrance and P&O offer regular ferry trips across the channel, with prices ranging from around £30 for a return day trip. Book a ferry to France.
