Gorges de Spelunca, Corsica

Gorges de Spelunca, the partly paved trail linking Ota and Evisa was originally a mule track that carried supplies from Porto to the highland villages. These days, it is one of Corsica''s great hikes. The Gorges de Spelunca are a formidable sight, with bare Orange granite walls, 1km deep in places, plunging into the foaming green torrent created by the rivers Porto, Tavulella, Onca, Campi and Aitone.
