Honfleur Harbour

Honfleur is a picturesque 16th century fishing port with slate fronted houses crowded round the little harbour. Renowned for its painters including Eugene Boudin, Gustave Courbet, Claude Monet, Homburg and Johan Jongkind, forming the ecole de Honfleur which contributed to the appearance of the Impressionist movement.There is a wealth of history here and a large number of cafes and seafood restaurants.
